...it's the 82nd minute, and we are tied 2-2 with bottom of the table Istres, at home. We suck.
Not good. PSG is definately shooting themselves in the foot with performances like today's match.

OUCH! Hey, another Frenchman in the Ligue 1 forums....it's a good thing.
I often wonder why Americans or British people seem to like PSG. It is true that it is the kind of team which has eventful seasons to say the least. i hope they return to their past european glory.
Anywy, I wish you'll come to Paris and see a match at the Parc des Princes ; I went to the Stade de France, it was magnificent but the PdP is a lot warmer with a lot of noise.

Well I started following football about 3 yrs ago, and Ligue 1 last season. Lyon has been winning everything in sight (so it would seem like gloryhunting), OM (were explained to me as the Man Utd of France), and PSG was the last club of the 3 that have been shown often in the USA. Paris is always a city that I have thought about visiting, Parc des Princes seems like a cool looking stadium. So PSG became the Ligue 1 club that I would have some interest in.

Actually, my fiancée lived in Paris for 6 months last year in the 16ème arrondissement. I remember being on the phone with her and I could hear the crowd at the Parc des Princes from her open window. Anyway, I went to visit her and met two of her French friends who convinced me that I should support PSG. So I started following them (Football Manager has helped a lot in getting to know the players) and I've tried to catch games when they come on Fox Sports World and I read L'Équipe. However, in such a Francophobic country as the US, it's kind of difficult, so I lurk around here and I've been watching the Café de Saint-Germain threads.

From here (http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.dor?STORY_NAME=international_feed/05/01/28/manual_095640.html&TEAMHD=soccer):
...Against Istres, the PSG players once again felt the wrath of their own supporters but this time the insults started flying during the warm-up.
Striker Pedro Pauleta said: "Once again we have failed to win at the Parc against a promoted side at the bottom of the table.
"We are the only ones to blame and that's normal that the fans boo us. But having to experience that before the match when we warm up is crazy. It's becoming very hard to play at the Parc des Princes..."
-----------
I hope Pedro wasn't thinking that fans paying good money would be supportive of these current efforts; THAT would be crazy...they don't have to boo, but they certainly have an absolute right to be frustrated with this season.

Sport FM announced that Edgar Davids was about to sign with PSG, but in the end Inter wanted too much money. Alain Roche was in Milan yesterday.
I'm surprised that such a player would accept to come, however if this story is true, it just sucks :(

Davids is the kind of player PSG needs and if they didnt have to pay higher taxes and answer to the DNCG then they could afford him easily.

Well just seen the two worse PSG games ever.
Les Verts match
The Les Verts match was a disaster. Didn't see it, but I listened to it and read about in the newspapers I could find.
ugh. Montreal, you deserved to win, we were awful.
Didn't muster a shot on goal at all. Disgraceful. Should have lost, I'll admit that.
Istres match
JUST, and I mean just seen the highlights this minute. Good match actually, but we switched off after 2-0. Reinaldo missed a few good chances. And for once its nice to see Ljubo back, he made the difference. Helder's goal was a bit lucky, but was an excellent strike.
The softest penalty ever! Pichot was penalised for a real soft handball. Luck has gone out the window foir us. The stadium sitaution didn't help at all. It was like being at the Velodrome......lol. Just kidding ;)
Weather?
wtf is going on?, its cold as hell......
bah, oh well. For me this season is a right-off and just want to see it out till the end (don't care where we finish) and start watching some RPL during the summer.

I was saying in the Soviet Union forums, Semak has signed on loan till the end of the season with first option on a transfer. Maybe he can do a Ljubo.
mmmmmmmm. Just don't think I can take to him, being a horse and all. Still Dmitry Loskov would have been the better buy (even if I would prefer him to stay with the champs. :))
I'm going to Monaco for the game on Sunday, so laters all.........

So, I hope they'll raise their performance towards the end of the season ; because for the moments they don't deserve all your efforts ;)
If only they knew, well Nike should know, because apparently, there are some jerseys to sell...By the way, I live 40 mi south of Jersey... ;)

PARIS, Jan 25 (Reuters) - Paris St Germain's Nigerian international Bartholomew Ogbeche has been loaned to Ligue 1 rivals Metz until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old striker, who was loaned to Bastia last year, has only played five games for PSG this season.
Ogbeche signed for the Parisian club at the age of 15 and after a fine professional debut in the 2001-2002 season, has failed to secure a regular first-team place.
He made his international debut in March 2002 and has two caps for Nigeria.

If Bartholomew Ogbeche is to ever develope into a regular starter, he needs playing time. This is a good move for both the club and him.
Thanks, Mel for the info.

Might we be able to pick up Elber on a free transfer?
From UEFA, here (http://www.uefa.com/competitions/UCL/news/Kind=1/newsId=275969.html):
Elber ends Lyon stay
Saturday, 29 January 2005
Ligue 1 leaders Olympique Lyonnais and Brazilian striker Giovane Elber have parted company by mutual consent.
Injury woe
Earlier this month, Lyon cut Elber from their squad because of his battle with an ankle injury, which has plagued the player since August. French clubs are only allowed a maximum of four non-EU players, and Lyon decided to give Elber's place to his 20-year-old compatriot Nilmar.
I think that we ought to pick up his rights; if he gets healthy, he can help us tremendously with our run to a European place.
