I'm sure Le Guen would love to come back to the PdP (it runs in his veins). And that would leave Santini to continue his work after a 3 year hiatus.

The scouting system at PSG is a joke, I totally agree. We must be the only place in the world, where the capital and most densley populated city in the country unearths gems of players and lets other more developed youth systems nick them off our hands (read Henry and Trez.)

Unlike Moscow or London, there aren't 6 other top-flight teams to compete with. We must saturate the areas of the aire-de-urbaine and find these new stars in the banlieues and outer cities.

Hopefully if Le Guen did come in, then he would bring some scouts too.

I have been scratching my head about this fact for some time.....how on Earth did neither Trez or Henry...NOT play for PSG at one time or another! WOW...simply shocking and sad.

After the mess of 2002/03, Vahid changed the fortunes of the club, got us CL football and won us a trophy for god knows how long. He changed the squad around, tactically altered the team (Dehu and Heinze got switched and excelled in their new roles.) He over shot the mark and exceeded our expectations. And for that, I am very thankful for all he did at the club.

I think you do a good job putting Vahid's tenure in perspective. PSG were great to watch last year. With that said, I have to say that the team is the worst mid-table club going. I mean, they are unwatchable. He had to go. Take care.

* Well the Boulogne Boys sit in in the aptly named Kop de Boulogne.....and they were formed in 1985 not 1995. They are one of the most established ultras groups in France.

* And I'm not too sure if the Gavroches have an internet site or not. They did have, but it was never updated as they didn't have the time. They were formed in 1996 and sit in the Boulogne Bleu [B2] to be exact, well iits part of the Boulogne.

* And as I said the previous thread, Tigris Mystic are very close to the Toulon ultras (Jeune Garde.) Mainly because they hate Marseille with as much venom. They also sit in the Auteuil Rouge area of the stadium (i.e Virage Auteuil.)

* Puissance Paris (http://puissance.paris.free.fr) - formed 26th September 2003, sitting in Tribune G - Rouge.

* Lutece Falco sit in the Virage Auteuil.

Alain Cayzac, dirigeant historique et actionnaire minoritaire du Paris-SG, a rencontré «de façon informelle» jeudi au camp des Loges des supporters parisiens des tribunes Boulogne et Auteuil, en conflit ouvert avec la direction du club parisien.

«Ce n'était pas un rendez-vous programmé. Le sens de notre discussion a été de comprendre leur demande et d'en parler avec mes partenaires. Le contenu, ça reste entre nous», a indiqué M. Cayzac, président de l'association PSG. «Il y a un vrai désir d'apaisement de ma part, a-t-il ajouté. Je n'ai pas trouvé des gens bloqués en face de moi. On a parlé deux heures, je ne vais pas dire que le problème est réglé mais j'ai senti du respect.»

Cette semaine, le sociologue du sport Patrick Mignon a été accepté par les parties pour tenir un «rôle de médiateur» dans le conflit qui oppose une partie des fans parisiens au président Francis Graille et au directeur de la sécurité Jean-Pierre Larrue. Depuis plusieurs mois, les groupes de supporters, mécontents de la politique des dirigeants en matière de sécurité, multiplient les manifestations hostiles lors des rencontres au Parc des Princes.

«Nous aimerions pouvoir supporter les joueurs, dimanche face à Bordeaux (16e de finale de Coupe de France), car nous savons qu'ils ont besoin de nous en ce moment. Mais nous ne pouvons pas lâcher maintenant si nous ne voulons pas décrédibiliser notre mouvement. La grève des encouragements sera reconduite», a expliqué un membre des Boulogne Boys, jeudi au camp des Loges à Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

News that Houllier could join the PSG staff on a temporary basis.

Dans la coulisse, il se murmure deux noms avec insistance : celui de Paul Le Guen pour le poste d'entraîneur la saison prochaine et celui de Gérard Houllier. L'ancien manager de Liverpool, grand ami d'Alain Cayzac (président de l'association et futur actionnaire avec Graille), a été contacté pour encadrer Alain Roche au poste de directeur sportif.

«Il n'y a pas d'urgence, mais ça pourrait se faire très vite» confirme Cayzac avant d'ajouter : «Il existe un projet, où Gérard Houllier aurait une mission jusqu'à la fin de saison auprès de Francis Graille sur l'avenir sportif du club». Houllier ne nie pas non plus : «Ce n'est pas bouclé, mais je serais un faux jeton si je vous disais qu'on ne discute pas.» Afin de ne pas empiéter sur le rôle d'Alain Roche, Houllier pourrait avoir une «mission temporaire» comme «conseiller» du président. Son arrivée pourrait être officialisée dans les quarante-huit heures.

Pour la saison prochaine, le club planche déjà sur le nom du futur entraîneur. Un nom se détache et semble faire l'unanimité aussi bien au sein du club que chez l'actionnaire Canal +. Paul Le Guen est vivement souhaité et les contacts devraient être rapidement activés. L'entraîneur de l'OL, libre en juin, tarde à prolonger avec l'OL et réfléchit certainement à l'opportunité, risquée, de s'engager dans l'aventure parisienne. Son passé de joueur au PSG (1991-1998), son amour du club et ses bonnes relations avec Canal +, plaident grandement en sa faveur même si l'intéressé aspire peut-être à prendre un peu de recul (année sabbatique ?).

Houiller might be joining PSG.....YIKES! I'm sorry, never liked him, not one bit. Maybe I'm overreacting and his style just wasn't suited for the English game, but I think his tactics were WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too defensive. I also don't think he improved Liverpool's talent base, that much, with his talent scouting. Sounds almost like PSG is desperate to bring in a big name football man, at any level.

Basically, I can sum up this possible deal with one word: UGH!

Ask Graille. At the start of last season, Vahid brought no new players in, mainly because there wasn't the cash. Now we have spent reasonably, not gigantic transfer fees and there appears no more cash left.

PSG really only need 3 or 4 players to become a solid top 3 side. At the end of this campaign, hopefully we can pick up some free-transfers.
