So we've won 6-7 games and taken 19points from a possible 21, We go into this match in good form but so do Man Utd, we havn't won at Old Trafford for about 15years or something like that, I'll be very happy with a draw and i don't think its out of our reach to get one.

my prediction

1-1 :D

I'll take a draw at the moment.

There's no reason to believe we're going there to get hammered, which has been the case for the past few seasons. Damage limitation and all that.

No Horseface, no Rooney, Ronaldo went off injured yesterday, Carroll is a bit dodgy. The only worries from their side seem to be Giggs and Scholes at the moment.

Our team are confident and playing well, good run of form and Martin Jol seems to know how to get the job done.

I feel we can get something from it, a draw would be good but a win would be quality :D

Isn't Giggs pissed off or something? Maybe we can convince him to throw the game.

maybe we couldd buy him :P

I hope we give this bandwagon team back some for the last few years of ass-whoopings they have given us.

We have a very young team and still have significant areas to improve and to bring in more players. As long as the team gives a good account of themselves in this game I will be happy regardless of the result.

Bad news, Defoe and Kanoute both injury doubts, Brown as well.

I reckon JD will play by the sounds of what Martin said. It'd be a shame if Fredi didn't play because he'd keep Rio really busy and piss all over Silvestre.

It just shows how far we have come in 2 months when we can think about getting something from Old Trafford.
I think Jermain is going to play, Jol said all three of them where in training & he looked pretty good but they will make their minds up in the morning.
Both Mark Yeates & Phil Ifil will be travelling with the squad.

2 of the other results went our way today, Villa being shat on at Palace 2-0 (hahaha) and Charlton losing away to Blackburn 1-0 (haha). Liverpool beat Norwich 2-1 so they are still above us.

Something tomorrow and a Chelsea win over Boro can see us into 6th.

I have training at 8-10 so I'll miss this but will record it from Prem Plus and watch it when I get back. Not sure I'll be able to avoid the result though as I'd guess by the mood the rest of my family is in when I get back lol.

Is Marney starting? He could be just the creative spark we need.

No idea of team news, just don't believe all you read regarding Defoe and Brown's injuries ;)

My flight gets into Gatwick at about 1ish, hopefully i can sort everything out there to get back to the house and out to the pub for the game. Shouldn't be a problem :)

Good to see my predicting Spurs being challengers for a European spot back when Arnesen was announced seems to be coming closer to reality. Always had a spot in my heart for Spurs, hope you do well & get into Europe, hope you can become a top 4-5 team, hope you get Andy reid, but most importantly... hope you get a 5-0 ass-whompering from us tomorrow. ;)

- I've been gone due to HUGE computer problems, am on a mates computer now and I will probably be back in a week or so.

If there is ever a time to beat ManU at Old Trafford,
this is it -- we are in great form and ManU, while
continuing to win, have injury and suspension woes as
noted previously. Smith also hasn't looked as good as
he can be the last few matches. Their performance
against 'boro was anything but convincing. They
looked sloppy and lacklustre in attack and in the
midfield for big chunks of the game, 'boro simply
didn't take advantage of it. On the positive side
for them Rio and crew on the back line have looked
very solid and may be our biggest challenge on
Tuesday...

Having said all that I'm not predicting a win, I'm
just saying the conditions are as good as we are
likely to find them for three points at Old Trafford.

I predict a high-flying 2-2 draw.

Come on you Spurs!

Man U have picked up 2 good away wins against Villa & Middlesbrough & have kept a clean sheet in their last. They havent lost a league game since October 30th against Portsmouth.
We have a young team with Marney & Ziegler but Marney made his full debut at Old Trafford last year so he knows what it is like to play their. I would take a draw right now.

My predicted team, probably no where near the team

-----------Robinson
Pamarot--King--Naybet--Edman
Marney-Carrick-Mendes-Ziegler
-------Defoe--Kanoute

possible replacements: Brown, Ricketts ,Keane

What I actually liked in the Everton game was the way Carrick and Mendes worked together in midfield.

With Carrick and Brown, Brown is slightly ahead and chases the ball while Carrick sits in front of the back four (gets the ball of them and distributes it). In the first half against Everton Carrick was in Brown's role and Mendes was playing the holding role very well. Then at half time they switched it. I like this because it means if one player gets tired from all the chasing they can just swap it and it also gives the other team something different to think about.
