Hi Guys

He tells me that you have never experiened a football match unitl you have seen West Ham vs Millwall and West Ham vs Tottenham is this true? Tell me about the experience. Also why is West Ham having a hard time coming back top the epl they can build off their great youth system. Last question are you guys located in the heart of East London. I have been there very interesting place for a 18 year old boy from Canada to visit. that was 11 years ago.

Our biggest rivals are a team called Terence Brown & his miscreants, they can be quite ruthless at times, they tend to hover like Vultures and just when we think we have the right formula, his side pick us off one by one, sometimes he even takes the whole team apart. Millwall is to be avoided at all costs, Tottscum are not much better, although they do have some of our ex players, to your last question, some of us are from the Eastend, I was brought up in Manor Park E12, that's not far from Upton Park.
UP THE HAMMERS!!!!!

Or lets put it this way, you aint big enough or good enough to be are rivals, mabey if you were in the premier league things might change :p :D

WHU vs Millwall can get pretty intense. Although is seems anyone vs Millwall is intense, at least from the perspective of the Millwall supporters.
West Ham's youth system has produced some fine players (FranlLampard, Jermaine Defoe, Joe Cole & others), but they sell them off to other teams. They look like they could win promotion back to the Premiership for next season. They are hovering around the top 2, and should at least contend in the playoff.
Upton Park is where they play their home games, and that is located east of London proper.

Millwall and Spurs.
As a Spurs fan, I have to admit being a little taken aback by the anti-Spurs feeling among Hammers fans. I'd never considered them rivals up until that point. Now, however..... :D
West Ham have had an awesome team fairly recently, as evidenced by them all now playing for teams in the EPL. I can't pretend to understand the financial side of things, but surely the debt has been paid off by now?!?! You can't sell players of that quantity and quality and not make a massive dent in the debt, surely?
At the moment, I like the Hammers. they're not in the same Division, and are therefore not a current threat. Also, they boast four or five Ex-Spurs in their ranks.

Colm, we were very close to following them in the not-too-distant past, what with Gross, Pleat, Hoddle, etc. Let's not rub it in, eh? One more bad decision, and it could've been goodbye to the EPL for us. Put yourself in their shoes.

Tch, tch, just friendly London rivalry Colm, don't take it so personal, I've even been to White Fart Lane on occasions, although the last time I was there Chas & Dave played at half time, so that's going back a while. ;)

It really depends which part of London you come from. I lived in Stratford as a kid. Closer to Spurs Than Millwall, so Spurs was the crunch game. Millwall meant less than Orient; the other east London club.
We hardly ever played Millwall from the 50's on. The Millwall thing goes back to Dockers striking, or strike breaking.
As for Spurs trying to say how much bigger they are......Look at the gates to see the biggest clubs. Arsenal and Chelsea get the biggest crowds, but how many would they get, if they were in the same league as us?
In the last 50 years there have been 4 big clubs in London. In alphabetical order. Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham.
Spurs biggest rivals are Arsenal, followed by West Ham. The Walthamstow, Hackney, Leyton areas of London are divided. It depends which side of the street you were born on, that decides whether you are a Hammer or a Yid.

And Essex gets split with Ipswich. There actually seems to be pretty good feeling between Ipswich and WHU. Or, more likely, you are just patronizing us carrot crunchers.

I've always thought that there is a lot of good feeling between us and the Tractor Boys, I remember a time when you used to have lots of our ex players and even John Lyall as a manager at that time we used to call you "Any Old Iron"
