well, i didnt wanna say anything....
:D
manyoo players are just as thughish, but lets be grown up and not go down this road again.
Hosscat, for your info, the spurs fans were extremely emotional after seeing them get a last min equaliser - going nuts, then the whistle went and the celebrations stopped for them and they saw us celebrating our title on their pitch and then just acted a ********ing disgrace by trying to push on the pitch to attack our players - the police managed to restrain them and get them out of the stadium then the supporters dissapered - the arsenal fans were made to wait till the area was deemed safe and then 100 or so police lead the arsenal fans put of the ground but 200 yards down the road 300 spurs fans came running out of a side street and attacked the arsenal fans!
******** HOOLIGANS
That's pretty foked up.......... I guess it is the Tottenhood though!

Those that could run did. A lot ran towards Northumberland Park station, where the police told us there were riot vehicles and lots of police so people would be safe. Unfortunatly as a lot of fans drive to games, that still left hundreds trying to get to their cars. I was one of those. I was told by the police to go all around the stadium which I did, there was about 200-250 Arsenal fans. As we got up towards Tottenham High Road (it was obvious we were Arsenal because we had been kept in not because anyone was wearing shirts - they weren't) we had loads of Tottenham charge in and push us, hit us and kick us. I saw a girl of about 15 being kicked and punched repeatedly, there was obviously nothing we could do. My group of 9 people managed to get accross Tottenham High Road and made it back to the cars ok, many were hurt. Before anyone on here (comme listen up) tries to tell me there isn't anything wrong with that, then come to the match next year and see how horrific it is. If two groups of people want to have a fight, let them get on with it. But these animals were hitting women and girls and it is nothing short of a disgrace.

I'm not going to pretend that there are no hooligans at Spurs or condone those sorts of events. They are despicable and no true fan would claim that they are acceptable. However, my point was that firstly it is a tiny minority and secondly Spurs are not the only nor the worst offenders. I'm sure that even a club as saintly as Arsenal has a group of fans who are badly behaved and while I'm not seeking to defend those guilty, it was an extremely emotional occasion. Had it been Spurs winning at Highbury who knows how your fans would have reacted.

Funny...this is the same kind of crap that was the party line about Liverpool, until Heysel and then finally Hillsbrough. "It's only a tiny minority," blah blah blah f****ng blah.
Unacceptable. Period. In that dream day when Sp*rs win anything, much less the league, at Ashburton Grove, I am sure you will see deplorable behavior, but no mass hooliganism like your group of yutzes at the Lane. That Sp*rs are neither the only nor the worst means nothing. It is a proclamation that ranks on the level with G W Bush's. Soccer does not need more human toilet paper like your comrades claiming (implicitly) that since others are worse, you're acceptable. You aren't. That behavior will never be acceptable, and if it had been at Highbury, I'd say the same, only I'd be even more pissed off than I am right now. Emotional occasion, my testicles. So is your first date with a member of the opposite sex, but it doesn't inspire mindless buzzing like a hive of killer bees without their queen.
Go hang your head. Better yet, if you're decent, go hang some of your compatriots, preferably by a chafing noose.

Well for starters this is just hearsay, secondly you say it was 300 Spurs fans so in fact it was probably 200 if that and thirdly if I look hard enough I'm sure I can dig up a few stories of Arsenal fans beating up innocent people.
Supposing for a second that it was 300 people and that the crowd was over 36 thousand, minus the Arsenal fans and you have a less than 1 in 100 ratio. There are thousands of England fans who are banned from travelling for away games, and given that about 70,000 are expected in Portugal that would provide a ratio of at least 3%. Would you then suggest that all England fans are a disgrace or should be strung up?
I said it was unacceptable and a disgrace, but don't try and make out that Spurs fans are hooligans and comparable with the likes of Milwall.

Well I think that under the circumstances those gestures are quite understandable. Henry is an extremely provocative player towards opposing fans and I expect if you had a camera on me watching the game then my reaction would have been no different to that of those pictures.

If I were an Arse fan, that would DEFEINITELY be my wallpaper for the summer.
BTW, I counted 23 "W-a-nker" hand sings... I only seem to see these used in English football or England int'l matches, and it is even stupider than the American 'douchebag' slag... it's just pathetic.

I th ink the guy in the grey GAP top is hilarious, or the guy in the dead centre near the top that looks a lot like him. The funniest one if the guy just in front of the guy that seems to be posing, right in front of the guy in the GAP top, though - hilarious

Im sorry, but you need to grow up. Obviously you don't attend matches at White Hart Lane. Go to one, and hen come bck to this board and tell me it would happen anywhere. You are making a fool out of yourself by trying to find excuss for it. Saying it is Heresay is utter crap. I was there. Im on the away scheme at Arsenal so attend every away match, Therefore I would suggest I know a good 500-600 of the people at the match. (Out of about 3000 Arsenal Fans) they would all tell the same story.
Also learn your facts. At this present time here are 850 people who are banned from travelling to away England games, not thousands.
Lastly ive been to every Arsenal game (bar 5) home and away for the past 4 seasons. I have not seen a single instance of an Arsenal fan beating up a innocent supporter, hence why we have such a good reputation. Go and find me one instance in the last 4 years. You won't be able to.
The worroying thing is, is that you try and argue, yet so obviously have not been to Tottenham in a long while. I suggest you think before you speak and realise others might just have a bit more experience of the ground than you do.

Well firstly I very much doubt that you seen Spurs or been to the Lane more often that I have. You only play us twice a season and we have only met once in the cup in the last 5 years.
Secondly, you were at the game and saw it happen, that is still hearsay. It is not a reported fact.
Third, get your facts straight. According to this statement from the government in February there are 2000 banning orders. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/3494803.stm or http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=293103&cc=5739
Fourth, how about this from the 2000 NCIS report "Ten Arsenal supporters attacking an innocent male inside Holloway Road underground station, dragging him from a carriage onto the platform where the assault continued leaving the male unconscious." Let's not forget either that your fans threw coins and missiles at Jamie Carragher prompting him to throw one back. I know this is a bit different but it still shows that the Arseanl fans aren't saints.
Finally if Spurs fans are so bad then why do these figures suggest otherwise?
Fans subject to banning orders
The country's top 20 in the league of shame
1 Cardiff City 99 10= Millwall 17
2 Stoke City 87 10= Hull City 17
3 Leeds 64 13 Swansea 16

5 Man City 30 16 Swindon 14
6 Bristol City 25 17 Reading 13
7 Coventry 20 18= Wolves 12
8 Wigan 19 18= Shrewsbury 12
9 Man Utd 18 18= Burnley 12
10= Birmingham 17 18= Chesterfield 12
London thugs' table

3 West Ham 10
4 Crystal Palace 6
5 QPR 5
6 Tottenham 4
7 Fulham 3
8 Arsenal 2

I can't be bothered to tlk to idiots usually, but this comment really does show what an imbecile you are. In your comment to which I was responding, you specifically said
There are thousands of England fans who are banned from travelling for away games,
By this, as you were talking about the English national team, it was quite an obvious thing to think you were referring to people who had been banned under the title of ENGLAND fans. Of which there are 850. The others are made up of people from all the clubs accross the league.
