Hey all Atlanta Supporters,

I've had several inquiries regarding organizing the road trip to Birmingham, so I've obliged and set up a small web page to coordinate the efforts.

US Supporters Travel Site (http://esc32.midphase.com/~kotasm/worldCup.html)

click on 'Atlanta Sptrs'

Please PM me if you would like to be included on a roughly weekly distribution of whats going on with local Atlanta viewing parties and road trip information. I'm not necessarily looking to start a full on club but rather just a loose infonet of get togethers and relevant information.

This sounds outstanding. I'll be involved for sure, and I really appreciate Mikey making the effort to coordinate. Looking forward to the upcoming games!

Sounds good. May not be able to meet up for all of the games b/c of work or church conflicts...but those I can make I'll be sure to attend. I'll already be in B'ham (work related) for US/Guatemala so no roadtrip for me. However, I'm interested in other road trips.

We should bump this thread up every so often, especially when games come near. I know there are many more Atlanta people who pop in around game days.

FYI...ATL Supporters.....latest mailing....if you're from Atlanta and intersted in the weekly mailing, email ATLSupporters2006@hotmail.com

Another week has come and gone, but there's been a great deal of activity lately on the USMNT front. Wish it was on the field though but I guess we'll have to settle for the board room instead.

Here's to hoping that by the end of the week we can purchase our qualifier tickets with confidence.

### MATCHDAY 1 - Viewing Party for Trinidad and Tobago ###
The plan is for an informal gathering at Brewhouse Cafe (little 5
points) on WED 9-FEB-05. Brewhouse cafe has listed the game on their website as an 8PM start time so I'm going to take that as a vote of confidence for the time. No one has said that it would be easier to meet up North so I'm gonna lay claim to meeting up at the Brewhouse Cafe!

### MATCHDAY 2 - Trip to Mexico City ###
I'm not planning a viewing party for this game since I plan to be at
Azteca witnessing the game. We'll be staying in Zona Rosa with other
US Supporters. I'll post more info when it becomes available.

### MATCHDAY 3 - Trip to Birmingham vs. Guatemala ###
The pre-sale is over but I'm not worried about a lack of tickets. Hrnfrg from BS suggested purchasing a block of 5 tickets and I'm all for that. I'm suggesting $35 tickets on the sidelines. If you want a ticket (or think we need more since you're inviting others) let me know soon so that we can arrange the purchase. Please also state in your response that you want a room for wednesday night (budget $80), and food/drinks for the tailgate (budget $10).

### WORLD CUP TICKETS ###
Don't forget that World Cup Tickets go on sale through the FIFA web
site on TUE 1-FEB-05. FIFA will be releasing ticket-related
informaiton on TUE 25-FEB-05

OK, 503 days left until the World Cup starts! Talk to you next week.

Mike

I'll be at the Brewhouse for the game tomorrow, and I think MikeyMike and others may be there as well. All are welcome. I'll be the tall guy in the retro jersey the team wore last year.

Did any of you watch the US/T&T match at Brewhouse?

Slange and I were up there sitting with 2 other non-BS (assumed) people. I saw 2 other people I did not know sitting at the bar watching the game. There were about 20 people there to watch the England-Holland friendly.

Does anyone know of any Atlanta bars that are showing the U20 qualifiers this week? I checked the websites of Brewhouse Cafe and Fados and neither have the games listed.

Just ask the Brewhouse and they'll more than likely turn it on GolTV for you. That is, unless you just sit there and drink water.

I've never had any trouble getting them to turn a game on for me....

it can get a little dicey when there are a couple of different soccer games going on at the same time as grid iron games but they have a ton of TV's...

I watched the first half of the Haiti game at El Ranchero but they only had the Spanish Gol TV

I thought a friendly had been announced in Brimingham I guess I should've looked at the date of the first post
