Hey Gang, I was doing some searching and came across the 2005 Away jersey. I'm not sure if this has already been posted or not, but I figured I'd post it for anyone who has not seen it. What do you all think?

Short, sweet, and to the point. I suppose DC jerseys will look pretty much the same for the next 5-10 years though. Only difference I see in this jersey is some flair lines.

You know what, Stan, if you want me to wear 37 pieces of flair, like your pretty boy over there Bryan, why don't you make the minimum 37 pieces of flair?

Old jersey. It's missing a star.

I like that they cut back on the amount of red in the jersey. With the black shorts this year, the boys are going to look sharp.

Where is this from?

I'll try to find the site again. I was searching some soccer places that sell jerseys. Most of them had 2005 DCU jerseys listed but no pics. This one site actually had this picture. As soon as I find it again, I'll post the URL.

BTW? When I spoke with Mr. Zack at the equipment sale, I inquired bout the new 2005 jerseys and 4 stars. He said that he was not sure if they'd have 4 stars due to the fact that the kits were ordered early befor DCU won the Cup in '04. I have a feeling that the 1st round of jerseys that the team will wear will have 3 on them followed by a updated jersey with 4 stars later. Guess we'll find out in a couple of months, huh??

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! That's the site. It does seem to look like the jersey that was pictured at the equipment sale to. I'm sure the jersey is subject to change, but seeing that this appears to be a actual picture, I would tend to think that this is what we'll see on the pitch!

I remember reading an article somewhere where all teams were going to be outfitted by one company. Was it ADIDAS?

Yes, Adidas will outfit all the MLS teams, but that does not take effect until 2006 I believe? Anyone back me up on this? I think that's the year.

You got it right - all teams will be in Adidas by '06

As soon as a team's contract is up with someone else they switch to Adidas.

Whether or not this does become 2005 Away jersey, it's very nice indeed! As far as I know, the home black jersey is the same as last years. Does anyone know if that is true? Are the only new jerseys for 2005 just the Away jerseys?
