Pro or con. What do Europeans think about this. WIll it lead to the downfall of home Leagues in Europe?

It won’t happen . If it did it would be a complete bust and disband in 3 years max.

I disagree. I think if it happened it'd be very successful. TV money would poor in. There'd be much less away support, but more than enough gloryhunters to watch games v Barcelona, Milan etc to fill those seats. I'd hate to see it happen though.

If it was a pure league competition without play-offs and without relegation it would get boring very quickly. That’s why the second group stage of the CL was scraped.

as far as england (the national team) is concerned it can only be good for them but there may be no restrictions on national players so it cud only be 1 or 2 english players per team. i think that it can be bad for alot of reasons, who gets relegated and who gets promoted, is it the lowest spanish team replaced by the highest in the la liga? if that happened would a team like sevilla be good enough? and what if there was no relegation and promotion? if there are better teams that fall like depor have this year and that team would just be hammered every season. in terms of internationals maybe it would be good but would uefa or fifa allow this anyway? and what if the teams breakaway from uefa, ifa and their respective fa's? if it fails where do the teams go? if its a success then what will happen to the domestic leagues, then to young talent, then to national teams etc. i think that clubs get enough money as it is, and if this happens it could ruin the game.

I think this is off-topic on the FIFA board.
Moved to happier pastures over on the European boards.

The second group stage of the CL was scraped because of the too many games.

What I would love to see would be teams that represented leagues. Like League All-Star teams facing other Leagues, so for example, The best players in the EPL would face the best of the Serie A, etc. This would be exciting and prove which league is the best.

This doesn't work because in your way only the players of the good teams count.
Either the spanish liga or the italian liga is the best. There the football-experts go along with them. Actually i would say the primera division is the best liga of the world.

Yeah, I know it'll never happen, i think it's a better idea than a Euro Super League though.

It won't work for the simple reason that all the Clubs involved are used to being the Top Dogs in there domestic league. I can't see many fans turning up to watch Benfica vs Barcelona if they are 15th and 16th respectively in a so called "Super League".

I can't see a "superleague" ever happening. They already have one, the Champions League.

How exactly would a Super League work anyway? Would teams have to leave their domestic league to compete in it? That wouldn't make sense.

I would like to see something like that involving the top teams from lower leagues like the dutch, portuguese, scottish, greek and turkish. These teams would get a lot more international media coverage and more money too.

Tell that to the money men. What you can be sure of is that entry would be based on one criteria - a club's attractiveness to advertisers.

Ohhh, so in a way the top X teams would essentially get promoted to the European league league? That would be really interesting to see actually.

not the top teams, the biggest teams from the biggest countries where the most TV revenue is to be had.
There would almost certainly be no promotion or relegation.
