Thanks, art. I was about to do a pre-match thread, thinking the game was at 7:45 in the UK/2:45 on the east coast! Glad I logged on now!

First Meeting:
The R's won on September 21st, 2-0. Goals by Furlong and Santos.
Our thread: http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=137648
The Series:
The R's lead 9-2-5.
The Opponent:
Unfortunately, we're playing Crewe while they're in excellent form. Crewe hasn't lost in their last six, since November 13th, with four wins and two draws in that period. Last six (most recent first):
A Wolves D, 1-1
H Plymouth W, 3-0
H Ipswich D, 2-2
H Millwall W, 2-1
A Coventry W, 1-0
H Gillingham W, 4-1
The Referee:
Clive Penton gets the call. In 22 matches this season, 63 yellows and 4 reds. 6 of his matches have been in the Championship, the rest below or in cup play.
crap...for the second game running, the BBC feed is screwed up, v Plymouth it cut out in the second half, today they're broadcasting Birmingham-Fulham on the QPR World channel.
...and yay, the Crewe feed is broadcasting Sheffield Wednesday - Port Vale.
Ok then. Well perhaps we'll hear the game, perhaps not.

Just switched over on the QPR feed! Yes!
Furlong just missed from a yard and a half! Argh!
The QPR feed is now QPR-Crewe as well, it's a much beter feed too. That Crewe announcer was a bit lame "that's quite a name, Shittu, isn't it"? Yeah, great stuff.

On a QPR note -- my girlfriend and I are going over for the PNE game. We're supposed to be there from Feb. 10-14. But... we're booked on US Airways. I hope we get to go!

Nice...my QPR gravy train left the station a little while ago; my ex, who I lived with for 5 years, was from London and had oodles of family/friends there, including a few people in West London. I used to get over there a couple times a year thanks to that connection. My current GF 's never even been out of the US and doesent even have a job right now so I dont think there are any QPR trips in my immediate future.

Pretty good start for the R's. 3 shots, 1 on goal, a couple corners, majority of possession. Crewe's been a bit more lively of late, though. It's going to be a tough one. Come on, Rangers -- three points!

Cook's been dangerous. He fed Furlong for his shot earlier and just now swung in a shot forcing a save.

A few suprising scores among the early goals:
Rotherham is up 1-0 over West Ham!
Burnley leads Wigan 1-0.
Presting leading Reading 2-0!
Brighton leading Wolves 1-0.
Edghill is getting some props for playing well in the middle with Shittu; also Leon Best is beintg described as "a level above".

Damn. Another set piece goal. Poor clearance, ball bobbles around, ball rolls over the line. Damn.

Good run and cross by Cook, header from Best saved. We're getting a bit of pressure on them. Gallen caused a dangerous moment just now also. Come on, UUUURRRRRR's!
