According to GolTV (www.goltv.tv), Argentina will play a friendly against Catalonia on Wednesday, 12/29. Does anyone have details on the line-up for the Albiceleste?

No line-up confirmed, but these are the players:

Fernando Cavenaghi, Clemente Rodríguez (Spartak Moscow), Diego Placente (Bayer Leverkusen), Diego Milito (Genoa), Luciano Galletti, Gabriel Milito, Leonardo Ponzio (Zaragoza), Leandro Cufré (Roma), Lionel Scaloni, Aldo Duscher (Deportivo La Coruña), Leonardo Franco, Ariel Ibagaza (Atlético de Madrid), Wilfredo Caballero (Elche), Nicolás Burdisso (Inter), Fabricio Coloccini (Milan), Maximiliano Rodríguez (Espanyol de Barcelona), Santiago Solari (Real Madrid) and Pablo Barrientos (San Lorenzo). The latter is replacing Aimar, who (surprise, surprise) got injured again.

BTW, this is the line-up I'd expect:

GK: Franco

DF: Placente, Coloccini, G. Milito, Clemente

MF: Duscher, Ibagaza, Maxi Rodríguez, Barrientos

FW: Cavenaghi, Milito

I'm especially excited about the "Cavenalito" FW tandem

2) no....no

Pekerman has named his Starting Eleven against Catalunya:

The Argentine team will enter the field with Franco, Cufre, Burdisso, Gabriel Milito, Placente, Scaloni, Duscher, Solari, Ibagaza, Galletti and Diego Milito.

It will be interesting seeing these guys in action, I hope Cavenaghi gets some time on the pitch as well. :)

Ugh... Burdisso and G. Milito. I don't like those names. I don't get why Pekerman insists on leaving Coloccini on the bench. He's by far one of the best players on the team.

Eryone needs to relax. Who cares which player ends up on the field today? It's a friggin friendly against Catalunya!(no offense) Rest the "real" argentine national team for the games the matter.

Grreat!! Why don't we play Colochini and Delgado so in the second half they can get taken out on a stretcher with torn ACL's and 8 months out with an injury!
