Game 2 of 4 games in 8 days.

JJ is fit, reports I read suggested curbs would rest bartlett and thomas. so perhaps we'll probably see JJ in midfield and euell/jeffers up front.

Two teams that like to defend and counter attack, I wonder if the ball will just sit at midfield all day with both teams waiting for something to happen? :)

If JJ starts and Thomas is rested, I wonder if that means Rommedahl will also be rested with Konchesky on the left wing. Rommedahl does not play well at all on the left. And Konchesky plays great defense along with providing some good service to whomever is up top.

I don't see Curbs switching formations, so it will be interesting to see who the lone striker is.

Should be a very interesting match. Both teams counter attack and use the same sort of formation.

Let's have a guess at the starting lineup:

Kiely
Young - El K - Fortune - HH
Kishishev - Murphy - Holland
JJ - Jeffers - Konchesky

Subs: Andersen, Thomas, Rommedahl, Hughes, Euell.

I would still like to see Andersen get the start just to give Deano a blow. I also wonder if we aren't going to wear our middle three out during this stretch. But who can come in for them? I guess Euell could come on late for Murphy and maybe Hughes for Holland. The only other way would be to bring on Thomas and move Konchesky back to the middle. I don't think that would work very well though.

Hoping to get a good listen in the morning. C'mon Charlton! We need three points out of this one.

from cafc main page:

Alan Curbishley named an unchanged side for the fourth consecutive game for the visit of Everton (kick-off 3pm).

JJ on bench for Jeffers.

Are they just writing off the arsenal match by not resting any players?

What's funny is that they're all boring in text updates, but great via audio. Try this link to get the audio...we're not SUPPOSED to be able to get streaming stuff here either, but lo and behold, it works!

i don't have admin rights on my pc, so I can't download real audio player to play it.. plus if the server detects big downloads or streaming anything it cuts it off and the "surf control" message pops up.

anyway.. text updates look like addicks are getting the majority of the chances

c'mon you addicks!

Actually, Charlton requires BBC London to make their commentaries available worldwide. However, due to rights restrictions, they have to provide a special link just to the Charlton webcast as the broadcast directly from BBC London is not allowed outside the UK. Quite complicated stuff.

It looks like Charlton are REALLY controlling this game, but I'm still worried, Everton could strike at any time...

The Addicks are going to overtake Spurs (if they tie, which they are tied with Palace right now) and be even with 'Pool at least until they finish their game... GO YOU ADDICKS!

Konchesky coming on made a real difference -- not that Thomas was playing bad, but Paul brought a different approach.

I wonder if Thomas could play on the right. Then Konchesky could start on the left. And that makes me wonder if JJ could play up top. He's got a good head. I wonder if he could hold the ball.

Great result. Really good listening to the second half. It just seemed like it was going to be another draw as with the Saints. But we kept going forward and finally punched one in the net.

Go, Addicks. Next up, Arsenal. Go for the win.
