I just picked up my latest issue of golf magazine and there is a two page artical about Freddy Adu. It talks about his history and a little about his fisrt MLS season. Focuses a bit more on his golf game...apparently he is pretty good at that as well.

A decent read.

His dream 4-some is with Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and Charles Barkley...not my dream 4-some ;) but he is just a kid after all.

Phil Knight claims Freddy may become more valuable to the company than Jordan someday.

His best score is an 84.

I didn't know this but his full name is: Fredua Koranteng Adu

If he brings the tenacity these three had he'll be alright.

Hell, he's already alright :) He's done pretty well for a 15 year old :)

P.S. It must be so cool to get your first Championship ring at age 15... Wow!

I was thinking the same thing. Then again he's better at a lot of things at age 15.

Reminds me of the time I was taking my Calc final freshman year of college...I was sitting behind a 12 year old kid who breezed through it without a problem while I just gave up.

He has the cash to bet like they do, and he can give 6 a side to Charles.

Take it for what it's worth, but I've heard from people who know Freddy that he's a natural in pretty much every sport. Soccer, golf, ping-pong, basketball...etc...

Are you sure they didn't say beer-pong?

I'm pretty sure I shot something close to an 84 once... playing nine holes... :o

Oh well, at least I can drive a car faster than him. For a couple more months anyway...

Surprised some UMCP sorority girls didn't make it on there...They would have been on his list of Dream Three-some :D

Man, it must be the off-season, there's a thread about golf. A useless waste of prime real estate if there ever was one.

Isn't "bending it" considered a very bad thing in golf?

I'd pay to see Freddy try to play hoop

I sometimes wonder how soccer players would do in other sports.....
