While losing Cureton isn't good, losing Santos before Rose is ready to return is a killer. No Santos, no Rose, no Edgill... if we don't make a loan, I don't see where we get a central defense for Tuesday. Unemployed Forbes?

Olly said the ref told him he'd have look at our sending off (Santos got two cards within two minutes), but doubts we'd get anything before Tuesday. Let's hope he's wrong.

About today, Olly said "we looked like a bunch of fancy-dan London whatsits. You've got to compete and show desire, and we didn't do that until we scored." Ouch.

Huge match at Loftus Road on Tuesday against Crewe.

We're five points behind West Ham, who sits in the last playoff spot. The good news? We're fifteen points ahead of Forest in the top relegation spot (36 to 21) -- at the beginning of the season, I expect we'd have taken being fifteen points ahead of relegation after Boxing Day!

This is huge. Too bad we didnt get that Middlesbrough kid on loan. At least Santos' wasnt a straight red and he'll only miss one game.

Who's left? Lewis Hamilton? Perhaps Birch or Bean can play back there. Bignot?

C'mon, Mel.

C'mon, Mel.Hamilton just went on loan to non-league Kingstonian, but we could call him back of Olly thought he was the best option. Still, I thought he was an outside back. Rowlands played at right back some last season, so could fill in there if we thought Bignot was an option at center back. Wasn't Serge Branco listed as a midfielder/defender? We could try to get Simek back. Or might Olly throw young Ryan Johnson into the fire?

We must get three points against Crewe -- this will certainly make it tougher.

Yep, we need ol' Mel to come through for us today.
