In the past, on the rare occasions that I actually wore a jersey outside, I had really just thrown my jerseys into the washing maching following the care instructions. But now with my new Man U jersey, I am a bit paranoid about using the machine to clean it. Should it be ok, or would it be beneficial to get it dry cleaned? I know some of you have some really expensive jerseys, and I was just wondering how you treated them. Thanks for the help!

Replicas are made of polyester so they are pretty tough. I just wash mine in the gentle cycle and air dry them. I have about 30 different replicas and they're in great condition.

Dry cleaning is a bit overboard.

I have a few jerseys that were game worn and autographed by the player that were a little smelly. I didn't want to wash and damage the signature so a little Febreeze worked wonders.
