I voted for Deco. Even now I think he's underrated.

Haha you seem to be surprised there is no Americans... Has there ever been a top 25 American in the world ever??

HAHAH what a joke! As if there'd be an American on the list! I laugh at your ridiculous question.

I'm upset. No Americans. This is crap. Heck even a Mexican coach voted for Donovan to be the top three player in the world two years ago. :)

Sorry, guys. Landon doesn't crack my top 40. No offense to his fans, and I did know I'd upset some of you by not putting him on there.

I think it should be Ronaldinho, but as a Boca fan I had to vote for Tevez.

Wow.

There are three people in here who seriously need to take their sense of humor/sarcasm detectors to the shop.

What, no Beckham? ;)

What did Beckham do this year? Sex scandals is the only big thing I know he did.

On footballing performances alone I'd say Francesco Totti. Sadly his spitting incident has pushed his football into the background.

This has been a year in which there was no clear cut performer.

It's Deco. After helping FC Porto, he has taken Barca to the next level. He's the one doing all the work, while Ronnie gets all the glory with his pretty finishes...Sheva would get my second vote. Henry gets my third place vote. I'm amazed at his scoring clip and at some of the awesome goals in a very physically demanding league - and the fact that nobody has been able to stop him

Its the slimy Limies, only way they win anything by vote, not on the field of play.
