I can't believe my eyes. Not one live Premiership game on Boxing Day on FSW. Someone tell me I'm misreading the schedule.

Uh, what are you looking at?
Chelsea vs Aston Villa
WBA vs Liverpool
are both listed as being shown twice, with the first Chelsea/Villa game being live.

FSW is showing the villa-chelsea game on delay at 1pm ET and the WBA-pool game at 3. The games take place at 8AM ET and 1 PM ET, respectively. Neither one of them is live.

That's it? I expected at least one live game and two delayed. It sucks

Pathetic if they're not live on Boxing Day.
I guess penis enhancement infomercials are more important than the Premiership.

For reasons which I cannot understand, FSW does not believe in showing EPL games live on Sundays. They instead prefer to delay the games so that they air directly against the NFL. Brilliant I think. I guess they haven't heard of this internet thing either, which seems to believe that people like scores on a real time basis.
I would gladly watch an EPL game live at 9:00 (or in the case of Boxing Day, 8:00) Eastern, but since they air against the most popular sport in the country, I have yet to watch a Sunday game all season.

Jeremy St.Louis,
I demand an answer to why the chels/pool games are not shown live this Sunday. And, you wonder why you are so maligned

Demand all you want, but JSL works for Global TV in Winnipeg. He does not work for FSI in Los Angeles. And even if he did, he's an anchor on FSW Report, not head of Programming.

Is there a PPV game that day?
I am sure there is some kind of non-compete clause in the contract saying they can't air a live game on FSW @ the same time as the PPV game.
That is probably the explanation for the Sunday games not airing live (if not Boxing day).

Looks like Man U. v Bolton is on PPV on Boxing Day.

FFS, there is no PPV game on at 8AM ET. The only PPV game on Sunday is at 10 AM ET(manu-bolton). FSW could have easily slotted in the chelsea game before and the pool game after the PPV.
Clowns, they are at FSW(sometimes)

As above, there is a PPV game at 10:00 am Eastern. But not at 8:00 am, and not at 1:00 pm. So no excuse. FSW shows the 7:30 am game on Saturday live (even if it's not a marquee matchup) and the 12:15 pm game live, despite sandwiching the 10:00 am PPV game. So if they can do it Saturday, why not Sunday?

An 8am game would finish pretty close to 10am. I am sure that is probably within the PPV window (I am guessing 1 hour before or after the PPV). That is probably why they don't show it.
Sure it sucks but, as long as Fox/the EPL makes more $$$ from the PPV that is the way its going to be.

Didn't they show Liverpool-Newcastle live this past Sunday?

I think they did. I was away so I forgot about that one. I think they did one live (Liverpool vs. Manchester United ?) last year as well.
The early Saturday game usually starts at 7:45, only 2:15 before the 10:00 PPV kickoff. Besides, wouldn't showing the Sunday game live give them a good chance to promote the PPV match?

Some people need to quit bitching all the time about FSW. Be happy there are any games on at all. A few years ago we had nothing.

I have to say I've been disappointed in the programming on FSW this season. Before the season started there was a lot of talk about how FSW was going to have so much EPL that is would basically become an EPL channel. But it really doesn't seem much if any different than last year and sometimes it seems like there is less timely EPL programming (such as last year there sometimes being a live match sunday morning, whereas there isn't this season). As an Arsenal fan, it's hard to remember the last live match they had broadcast. But I'm sure a lot of it is the usual stuff that broadcasters do to try to maximize money (force people to ppv to see live matches, etc.) instead of enhancing the product and drawing a larger audience long term.

Yeah, but that talk wasn't from Fox, it was from Oliver Tse, who often doesn't tell the truth.
I think it's one more EPL match, one less German match, so pretty much the same as last year. Right? Oh yeah, not Dutch.
