Now I won't have to follow through with my plan to build a giant catapult in Maryland and turn California into a giant foam rubber landing pad cause you can never be sure with them tricky catapult trajectories.
Ah, you should know better, be like NASA and land in the ocean. The rescue is a bit trickier, but I think the surface just as good after the use of parachutes. Plus, larger target area.
Worst case scenario: Overshoot to Hawaii.
And now without buying a landing pad, you can build a second catapult in case he needs to get home. Again, ocean landing.
Good thing neither of you lives in Kansas, otherwise this wacky plan would never work.

--OK, we got back to my house and thought it would be fun to go have a bonfire at the beach. We went to this wood place that lets you have wood for free..and to make a long story short, we ended up getting the "special" wood from the back and about 8 guys came out and stared as if they had never seen a female before. The guy who brought the wood out for us was asking all these creepy questions, such as where we were going and if we were going by ourselves, and why we were out alone. Uhh, sure dude, whatever.
Get some wood, give some wood. No, seriously though, if you're getting free wood, you have to expect idiot zombiemen to be part of the bargain. Don't you ever watch scary movies? I bet that wood they gave you was from some Indian tree and you just released some evil spirits when you burned it. Plus it would make a great camera shot to pan up into the fireworks to imply impending doom for beachgoers. Did he offer to sell you a little furry guy named Gizmo too?
As a side note, I hope your mom feels better soon!

The sun is behind you, so you get a sunburn on the left side of your face and a sore neck. Plus the seats are too small. But it's all worth it.
- The best part about yesterday is that I was so tired from going to Boston and sitting in the sun that I fell asleep and missed the Revs latest abortion of a match.
- When is the MLS Cup? I'm interested in going.
- VH-1 Classic is my favorite music channel. It's just too funny, especially the 80's. I just watched a Girlschool video. How can you beat that?
- I started a new CM game with Rushden and Diamonds. If you want to go lower league but don't want to struggle, take them. I picked up two players that you must have if you're lower league: Billy McKinlay and Adolfo. McK is a great DM and Adolfo scores a goal or two a match. Benching Orlandi Lowe was the happiest thing I've done in all my years of CM. He's mad at me. I don't care.
- I know there's a CM thread, I'm just too lazy to post there.
Pedro is Da Man. Glad to hear you enjoyed the game. Next time I'm back in NE in the summer I'm going to have to go, only been once since 1998 (last year when Hatteburg hit into a triple play then hit a grand slam in the same game). I did get to a Rockies game on Thursday, got $41 Club seats for $25. Those were the mack! People wait on you lie a restaurant and all, you can go in if you have an AC fix, damn.

Oh, I know that. It's our fault we didn't win by 3 or 4. However, Kenny cost us 1 goal and 2 points.

I remember seeing an article or post saying that Onandi Lowe's performance in MLS was as good as his performance in non-league, thus making MLS = non-league. Forgetting the fact that Lowe scored like 2 goals in his time in MLS, and generally was awful.

I am so frustrated by United that I can't believe this is all supposed to be a relaxing diversion.
Two articles to write today, but all I can think about it the abject pathetic nature of this squad. 2 MISSED PENALTY KICKS. 2. More than 1, less than 3.
Marco takes the first, scores it, then puts it in the EXACT SAME PLACE on the second kick?!??!!? Gee, Marco, y'think Tony knew where you'd go after the first one?
RS
The sad thing is that we had 2 saved penalties, Quintanilla hit the post, Olsen nearly scored, even Richie Williams nearly scored. I'm wondering who on the team pissed off a voodoo priestess and how we can get this curse lifted, because clearly no earthly means of ours can force the ball to cross the goal line and have it counted.

+ So, uh... who here on RT is going to be at RFK to see DC United on August 31st? I guess they are playing the Earthquakes and I'm going to be in town for that Labour Day weekend, so... Jason? Caroline? McCrum (do you live in DC now?)? We should go to Chick-Fil-A before hand. Also, I think I will be staying in Alexandria.
+ I've been staying off this thread as CM crashed on me again and I was too sad to hear talk about it. All those Kevin Phillips goals gone, that 2-0 win at Highbury gone. Yarr.
+ Before anyone warns me about going to see DC United, yes, I know they can't score, but I'd still like to see Santino, Pope & Benny Olsen.
+ I don't think Bower played last night for us. Roner(?) did and I thought his jersey said "Boner".
+ There's a town in Ohio called Knockemstiff.

No? Who knows then.
Chris Roner seems to come from a family who either doesn't know how to pronounce their last name, or forgot a letter many centuries ago because he prounounces it "Ronier" (Frenchy-like).

Yesterday, I got paid. Today, I dropped that entire paycheck on clothes. When school starts, I should be one well dressed mutha.

I do not live in DC, and do not think I will be down for that game. I'm flying out to Chicago the weekend before for that game out there and between school starting the next Wednesday and a decided lack of funds, will not be attending any events in the DC-Metro area until loan checks come though.
And I still live in NYC, it's just that with my latest visit there, the strong love created for the McCrum caused spiritual residue to reside with the fine people in DC. I like to think I live somewhere nice down there. Spiritually. Possibly The Smithsonian?
