-17 July 2002. Seattle, Washington. Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, Third Round. Seattle Sounders versus San Jose Earthquakes. USMNT star Landon Donovan is heckled by some loudmouth jackass Sounders fan demanding that Mr. Donovan return a sweater to an unnamed friend of said loudmouth Sounders fan.
-Went to the open house for the new Seahawks Stadium, and I must say that it is, in my opinion, one ninja sweet stadium. To anybody who thinks MLS shouldn't expand to Seattle and put a team in the Seahawks Stadium on the accounts of "the last thing the league needs is another team playing in a cavernous NFL stadium", I say F*** you and the high horse you rode in on! This is a damn fine stadium, and if other NFL teams had stadiums even half as nice, MLS teams would be tripping over themselves to play in such "cavernous" stadiums.
-I am one step closer to doing a CMM pic, although I want to slim down a little first. By the time I get around to doing it and posting it, CMM pics will probably be a thing of the past around these parts, but oh well. I will also do one wearing a Sounders replica jersey, which I will be purchasing on Sunday.
-Speaking of Sunday, this Sunday Sunday Sunday the Seattle Sounders will play the first official professional sports game at the new Seahawks Stadium. The Sounders will play host to one of their rivals, the Vancouver Whitecaps. The NASL Sounders were the first team to play in the Kingdome, a game they lost 0-1 to the New York Cosmos.
-During my abscence this month I have attended four Sounders matches. (Three league matches and one Open Cup match.) I must say that attending a game in person, cheering on your hometown team is quite an experience. Of course, it helps that my team happens to have the best record in the A-League (16 wins, 2 losses, 0 ties), but still...
-This thread appearantly has more than 15 replies.
-Timbers fans suck. They only know one chant of their own (anything else is just something they heard us chanting, except modified to be pro-Timbers) and they're so poor they have to bang on buckets cause they can't afford drums. If Portland wasn't one of our fivals, I might even pity them...
-Nah.
-Did anybody watch Fox Sports Net on the 12th? If I was on the telecast at all, I would have been on the shot of the Pod's Big Ass Flag after the third Sounders goal...which was only shown for a brief second.
-The Pod, by the way, is the name of the Sounders supporters club. I don't think the the three Timbers fans have a name for their "supporters club", but they're commonly known as "those wankers with the buckets"

- Why didn't Sigi or Thorton participate in the World Hot Dog Eating Championship? I'm sure both of them could have easily beaten the Japanese guy and probably polished him off for dessert.

This is quite the quandry. Sigi could just eat everyone there and win by default.
-While shaving today, it crossed my mind to shave my chest. However, I thought of Seinfeld, and then the work involved in such an endeavor, and decided not to.
