Has anything been resolved in the stars on shirts for titles issue. Because it does seem abit unfair on Nurnberg and Schalke that because their title wins (apart from Nurnberg's in the 60's) were all won before the introduction of the Bundesliga, they are not allowed to have stars above their team crest.
Seeing as Nurnberg and Schalke are 2nd and 3rd respectively in the list of title wins with 9 and 7 , it does seem very unfair to me.

0-2 Bundesliga titles -> 0 stars
3-4 Bundesliga titles -> 1 star (Bremen, Dortmund, Hamburg)
5-9 Bundesliga titles -> 2 stars (Gladbach)
10+ Bundesliga titles -> 3 stars (Bayern)

BFC Dynamo and went to court and now has three stars on their jersey as well because of their 10 titles they won in the GDR.

Keith's Response: Maybe, but Schalke hasn't won squat in the Bundesliga yet and that's what the stars on the shirts are for.

Nuernberg are the only team to win a BL title and be relegated the very next season.

Schalke was a "preferred" club of the Nazi regime. Go back and take a look.

At least FCN won five of it's nine in the 1920s and only one during the Nazi regime, though they were also favored because outside of Berlin, Nuernberg was the party's largest base. I was stationed there before the wall came down. You could see many of the Nazi structures still in Nuernberg.

Schalke "won" SIX of it's seven titles during the freakin' Nazi regime. Schalke was Adolf Hitler's version of BFC Dynamo Berlin.

That's the reason these two clubs don't have "traditional friendships" with anyone but EACH OTHER!!!

Schalke managed to win one more title in 1958 and not a f@(king thing league-wise since!!

They might FINALLY do it this season, but s#!tting their pants in Mainz last weekend after a superb performance against Bayern didn't help them either!!

HA!! HA!! HA!! HA!!!

Supporters: A releatively small but vocal hardcore. Often accused of fascist tendencies by other clubs. You have to wonder when one of their official sponsors is "Pro-Violence Streetwear".

Lol...

DFB + DFL decided, that as a consequence from this, next season all east german even as all german championships since 1903 will count for the stars. That means Schalke, Nürnberg f.e. will get their stars.

Blue or green flight jackets?, seems to be slight confusion on which is the appropriate one to wear. It's like looking at a Demented Are Go gig from the 80's!!
Last time i saw people dressed like that Duran Duran and Kajagoogoo "ruled" the "pop" charts.
