In checking the FSW schedule for this week ending 12/26 and next week ending 01/02 - the schedule does not list Dream Team at all?
Does anyone know what is going on?
Mods: felt this was a scheduling question as oppossed to being part of the story discussion on the existing Dream Team thread - please merge if needed.

Unfortunately, I've not seen the last three shows (still haven't had time to watch the tapes). Was last week a season ending finale? If so, usually FSW doesn't start the new season until sometime in January. FSW has shown two seasons of Dream Team each year. Wonder what they will do if they ever get current with the series in England?

No, it was not a season ending show. I do not know why this is happening. What is being shown in the Dream Team time slot?

Exactly, it was not a season ending show.
This coming week says Premier League Highlight Show
Next week actually is showing a game.
I think I remember something last year where the show was pre-empted for a week or 2. Just trying to see if it is the same thing, or if the guides are wrong.
Maybe someone can ask JSL to pop away from his official thread to help us out - unless someone else knows.

Maybe Nick Geber would answer that question on the WSW radio show Wednesday?

Must have Dream Team....
bump - so can anyone confirm if Dream Team was on or not last night?
The place where I am staying does not have FSW, so just trying to gauge if I can expect to have a taped episode when I get home to watch or not.
fingers crossed.

Dream Team was not on, the EPL (Re or Pre)view show was on followed by Argentine Highlights.
********! No Dream Team next week either. That is not cool.

The only explanation that makes sense is that Dream Team is one of their highest-rated shows on FSW, and so, like all the other channels, FSW is suspending their top shows during the holidays.
Also, they probably also think that people will miss any episodes shown during the holidays, and that people will be less likely to watch a program if they don't know what is going on, due to missing episodes.

not sure if there was a winky-winky to this part....but I actually thought the same thing....and then laughed it off cuz I figured I was crazy.
If it is one of the reasons, then FSW is smarter than we all think - and I thank them.
Does not seem to be on tonight - no update to the schedule that I can see.
p.s. on a side note - does anyone know if they have a DVD of the Dream Team series - ya know, like Seinfeld, Buffy, etc?

A new schedule on the Fox Sports World web page shows programming through January 9th and dream team isn't on it. I have Tivo, which lists upcoming programs for the next month and they don't show any upcoming episodes of Dream Team at all. I sure hope FSW hasn't decided to stop showing it two-thirds of the way through the 4th season of episodes. But I'm worried that they might have.
I couldn't figure out where to get email addresses from the Fox Sports World web pages or I would write and ask them.

puttputt, you beat me to it. I just noticed the same thing. I am surprised, usually someone "in the know" pops in and can give an update. I am thinking of dropping something in the official JSL thread.
I am with you - I hope this is just a minor bump in the Dream Team showings.

They did this before during the Rugby World Cup and then started up where they left off. I don't know what "event" is going on now that they would do this, but it isn't unprecendented.

There is no DVD, no VHS, and there are no episodes available anywhere on the Internet, btw.
One factor is that there are something like 300 hours of past programs. (Compare this to about 100 hours of Buffy, total)
Also, soap operas tend to be more disposable programming, AND the series is still going on. So, there are very few people who are interested in seeing old shows again - they get their fill by watching this week's show. And, unlike Buffy and Seinfeld, it is not considered a "classic" show by anyone.

Wait a minute, "Seinfeld"="classic" and "Dream Team" is not?
There's something seriously wrong in this world.

Dream Team should be called Snooze Team.
Yikes.
