Anderlecht is reporting that they have sold Swedish midfielder Christian Wilhelmsson to Tottenham Hotspur for a reported 3.7M Euros. Could be a nice pickup for the Spurs if it's true.

3.7 million Euros would be an absolute steal.

I thought Wilhelmsson would be worth closer to 5M.

As far as I can ascertain from reports, no deal has been done yet. It's just Wilhelmsson desperately wanting Edman behind him again. Reports have also said that he wants to leave because he's embarrassed at Anderlecht's CL exit! I wish Spurs could be embarrassingly eliminated from the CL. After qualifying, of course.........

Not done but close. Right noises being made but it's a shame the press have got hold of it because quotes get twisted left, right and left again.
However, he isn't playing against Club Brugge in the SuperCup. An "infiltration of the knee" apparently.

Looks to be a problem over the fee now according to Sky Sports News. Anderlecht want 6-7 million (pounds I think), Wilhelmsson feels he should be 4 to 5 million Euros only.
Hopefully Anderlecht's nerve will break or they'll meet in the middle, perhaps 6 million Euros which is about 4.5 milllion pounds.
