You've got to be kidding me right? You're celebrating a meaningless trophy? Good lord. This trophy is as equivilant as the old Cup Winners Cup in Europe. Damn you bosteros will celebrate anything. I think you need to worry about what you're club is going to do in the offseason, rather than celebrate. What are you celebrating for anyways? The team you defeated in the finals is the same team you played in the Copa 2004. Now that's drama for you. Good grief!! Now lets have a look at your club. You just lost your best player to Corinthians, you've got a joke of a manager, and you're rumoured to be going after a 35 year old former player(Batistuta). Plus, you've drawn a pretty decent indio side in Pachuca and a very tough Ecaudorean side in Deportivo Cuenca in the Copa 2005. Looks like a tough road ahead bosteros. :p

Yes, Boca needs to make some changes, but it is not as dark as you paint it. The departure of Tevez hurts, but it was inevitable, (as will likely be those of Mascherano, Lucho and probably Maxi for the gayinas within the next year). That is the reality of our football and our economy right now, we have to deal with it as fans.
But, there is some young talent in the team, to go along with the veterans. Guys like (to name a few) Ledesma, Cardozo, Gago, and of course, Mauro Boselli. And perhaps Cangele might finally show his full potential. True, Boca needs a top creative midfielder, a number ten. But aside from that we are not far from being a very good team once again.
As far as celebrating the Sudamericana, do you think that we should not? It is not as great as winning Libertadores or even the domestic championship, but it is better than being shut out of any titles. River tried and failed to win it, and Boca succeeded, so we do deserve some bragging rights.

This is still a big international tournament - Only the better teams in South America participate - And there's a lot of grueling away games that you have to win if you want to advance consistently - Boca's regular campaign was pretty mediocre but they got excited about this - Awesome 2nd leg final by the returning Palermo and the departing Tevez
