I miss the Upton Park faithful.....great supporters. I love catchin the highlights of any West Ham Utd match here in The States....always a great crowd.
Realistically, what are the chances of the Hammers getting promoted to the EPL? Are we talking remote/slim or quite good?
Be honest, thanks.

It's anyone's guess Catfish.
We are so inconsistant at the moment that one week we look a dead certainty, the next we look like we've got no chance.
I think we've got a reasonable chance of making the playoffs, as for how far we get in them.... You might as well flip a coin.
You wanted honest, the truth is I haven't got a clue, I just hope and pray we make it back up.

According to Pardew its easy; all we have to do is start winning games. How much does this guy get paid?

I think they're getting less every week we fail to win games we should win easily! Two years ago, we got relegated with a team full of talent, mostly internationals, and most fans blamed the manager. ( I must say, in my opinion, that if Di Canio and Kanoute hadn't missed almost half the games, we would have stayed up); but now we again have better talent in this division than most of the other teams, and again we don't get top performances; so who's to blame? I don't see where Pardew is any better than his predecessor (not Trevor Brooking), if indeed it's the manager's fault if the team doesn't perform. I still hope that we can get some kind of string going of wins, but they 'd better start coming really soon!

The problem as I see it is WHU inability to play against teams at a lower level. We seem to perfom well against teams like Sunderland, Sheffield Utd, even Chelsea but fail to shine when up against Brighton, Cardiff, PNE etc. There's no doubt in my mind that we are a team that would far prefer to play in the EPL but the players have to realise that we have to get out of the Championship to do it. I can only see us making the playoffs and if my thoughts are correct, we stand a good chance of going up simply because we will be playing a better quality opposition.
Against that it would be interesting to see the stats of past promoted teams and who they have lost to. 5 of our 8 losses have come against teams in the bottom half of the table. The only team ahead of us that we have lost to is Wigan.
I'm sure that Norwich, WBA, Portsmouth and Leicester in the past couple of years have not got automatic promotion with this track record!

Catfish, my thought is 60-40 remaining in Coke league.
If Brown leaves, hook or by crook - 80-20 if done by January.
With Pardew out, and Gordo in - 70/30.

As a qualified FA coach and prof. musician, I would say 5-1 are about the right odds. The coach say's 10-1, the musician evens.
