Pompey made us really work for those all important 3pts. Now that we are home for Christmas.........time to show the Cottagers who the real Grinch is and crush their little dreams. I know I said 3-0 for Portsmouth, BUT I REALLY REALLY have a good feeling about this FFC match.
My thoughts are 3-0 to The Arsenal. START Van Persie and AL U Mini UM! Give him another chance, AW!
KEEEEEEEEOWN! There's only 1 KEOWN!

I dont really hear the Chants on TV. Well I can hear stuff, but I never hear what their saying because of the commentary. Plus who was Keown?

Hopefully we'll get Freddie back for this clash, and Edu for Newcastle, and we can start giving Pires et al a little rest.
I really feel good about the Fulham game. I'm going with 4-0, with goals by Henry, Bergkamp, Ljungberg, and yes... Sol Campbell :) I will do this every week from now on, so when it happens, like last week, I can feel great for that one week.

I predict it will be bloody cold
I predict getting to the game on boxing day is going to be a logistical nightmare requiring SAS-like planning
I predict 2-1 to the Arsenal after we go a goal under at the 15-20 minute mark

I thought Ashley Cole is suspended for yellow cards, after yesterday's booking?

That's correct. Clichy should be in there, and with Ljungberg back its either RVP or DB10 up front with Thierry. Of course, we could always rush Cygan back from injury

I think this will be a close one. Fulham lost to the Addicks today on the road, but Van Der Saar is good and they played us well for 45 minutes at Craven Cottage. I say 1-0 to the Arsenal.
as far as I know this game is not on TV, so I will try to mooch off the Arsenal Plus Audio stream or fork over the $1 at soccerstreams to watch the video if my parents computer can handle that.

And all the poster from Yank Abroad are going to be telling us how McBride and Boca are going to run around Arsenal liek they are nothing.
I say Henry and RVP get the goals.

I forgot it would be 7 days later, for whatever reason, I was thinking it was under a week. Ok, so sub Clichy in for Cole, but I'll still stick with my line-up and score.
Goals: Henry-Andy Cole-Freddie

I won't try to make a prediction because anything can happen. I've learned its a fruitless exercise. What I do want is to see 2 things. 1) a win above all else and 2) a return to the type of football that we were playing before the slip. We are not going to win the title playing like we're playing now. I thought we saw a return with the Chelsea game but Portsmouth told me we are still not playing championship football.
Individually, I'd like to see Vieira and Toure` play better.

By the by rick do you happen to know what Tube lines will be opperating Boxing Day. I generally head into Tottenham and pick up the Victoria Line from there, but if its not running Ill have toi get the Bus and pick up the Picadilly Line at Oakwood. Ick :(

The last two Monday night games I've watched have had Fulham in them, and from what I've seen, we shouldn't have too many problems... van der Sar has been in goal for both of those matches (from what I understand, he's not the starter anymore??? I think...), and he's not been the wall that he was last season. Thy're fighting to stay clear of a relegation spot, though, so maybe the point or three will be the incentive they need for a hard fight.
2-0, Gunners.

It's so weird with Edwin V. Sar. He was so good during EURO 2004, I thought he would've really picked his league form up. Here's to a Gooner's 3-points!
