Oh - I thought that I had to "make" the WC roster.

I was going to start running, lose some weight, get in shape, get Richie Williams pictures of Bruce with a sheep, then fake an injury before the 1st game. This would save me money on tickets, airfare, accomodations, etc. - while still having a whale of a seat!

I don't know how on Earth you come to the conclusion that Cherundolo shouldn't be on this roster. Please explain. If this was just an oversight, then that's cool. I'm not trying to be a punk- I just simply don't see how you can go with Berhalter and Sanneh and not Dolo...don't get me wrong, I'll cheer for whoever is wearing our colors, but jeeeeezzzzz. I've not been the biggest booster for him, but Steve has won me over this year. And not to mention, he's got leadership abilities that are shining through at Hannover.

I haven't thought about who you might have left off, but I can't disagree with any of these selections. I'd consider dropping Friedel since he might be "retired". Joe Cannon would be my replacement (though I haven't done the proper research on Hahnemann). Spector's a bit of a reach not having much experience, but I'd pick him too as a 7th defender over most others. Chad Marshall deserves a look soon. We're not deep at outside defender with this list though I won't argue for Hejduk or Sanneh. Casey, Esky, and Ching I'd consider if 1 more forward slot opens up. Dempsey wouldn't make my list today but I'm hopeful he will in 2 years. I might take Zavagnin over Armas. Jimmy Conrad deserves a look cause he looked better than Pope this season. These are the bulk of my "alternates".
