I cannot decide between these:
A.C. Milan (ITALY) vs Manchester United (ENGLAND)
Chelsea (ENGLAND) vs Barcelona (SPAIN)
Juventus (ITALY) vs Real Madrid (SPAIN)
But I'm definetly most interested in Chelsea vs Barca, personally.

Chelsea vs Barcelona, two of more in-form teams (might change when these matches actually start, but they are at the moment) pair off against each other.

Chelsea v Barcelona
I see Barca winning the first leg by the odd goal, but Chelski winning at home by 2, or not conceeding - I'll be going to the game at the Bridge :)
I also think Fergy has made a serious faux pas, by not fielding a strong enough side in the last game, to win the group and thus losing the advantage of playing the 2nd leg at home - major fcuk-up!
I see the following going through:
Juve
Inter
Chelski
Lyon
Liverpoo
Monaco
AC
Arse
Milos

I think Chelsea Barcelona is the real big tie that I and most people are looking forward to. Should be a great game.

Aww c'mon guys?? ManU and Milan havn't had a professional head-to-head match in over 40 years? That has to be the more intruiging match-up.

So difficult. Chelsea and Barcelona will offer some great action.
Juve and Real will also be sweet...
But I'm going for AC Milan v Man U.
I both think they are very attractive teams to watch and havent played eachother for ages.
Sheva v Rooney
Van Nistelrooy v Crespo
Kaka v Scholes
Gattuso v Keane
Cafu v Ronaldo
Damn..... this is going to be GOOD!!!! :D

Chelsea and Barca, emotional ties and history here as well. Carvallho and Ferreira against Deco, Terry on Ronnie, and Mourinho against former team. All other matches are fabulous as well, especially Arse and Bayer. I have Bayern winning it.

I sure hope we don't have Terry on Ronnie - that would get ugly very fast.
Gallas is the man for that job Yasik!
Chels v Barca for me (obviously)...however, i do like the Milan v Man U tie.
It'll also be most interesting to see what kind of form R Madrid is in by the time these games come around.

you know i'm a fellow rossoneri tifosi, canzano, but even I know that our match against Manure, as intruiging as it is, is just a wee bit overshadowed by the glamour match...Chelsea - Barca.
That's okay though...I'd rather quitely get the job done, have other teams have the spotlight in Feb-March, even April, and then have Milan win the spoils in May. ;)
p.s. I voted for the Arsenal- Bayern Munich match just to balance the poll of runner-ups on 9 votes. C'mon now...you know you all want to see the mother of all clashes!!!! King Khan vs Lame Man...in the battle of howler goalkeepers!?!?
(and wouldn't you just love it if they raced up the field and just brawled with each other...all for the luv of winning the #1 Deutschland keeper slot........
though I think Hilderbrand of Stuttgart will pip both of them in the end)...<sniff> ...the beautiful game is so............ beautiful :D

I actually think Milan/ManU will be the "glamour" match. By this I mean more people will be watching this match than Chelsea/Barca worldwide. There is no doubt that Chelsea/Barca is the best match on paper this year but Milan and ManU have two of the three biggest fan bases in the world and they will be playing each other for the first time in 40 years. Since Chelsea/Barca and Milan/ManU will be played at exactly the same time I'd be willing to bet that most channels worldwide will show Milan/ManU. The only thing that sucks about all these great matchups in the round of sixteen is that you will only be able to watch 2 matches live :( And the quarterfinals could be anticlimatic with some mismatches.

I see how you are going with the idea of "biggest fan bases" viewing the match, but figures on clubs fan bases are highly skewed from one person to the next.
For instance, if we're talking globally....the fan clubs of Man.Utd, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Glasgow Celtic, Glasgow Rangers, Liverpool, Real Madrid...hell, Flamengo (with over 30 million fans in Brasil alone) would top Milan's fan base globally ...
...and this is me telling you, a fellow rossoneri, so you know it hurts to say it. Even Juve has a bigger fan base than us, making the Juve-Madrid matchup, by your definition, as more of a glamour match than ours, helped especially, by the pull of the galacticos everywhere around the world (unless the support for Manure puts us over the top in viewership...that just might be the case...who knows.)
Like I said, I think Milan - Man. Utd is a huge match, but with the context of what the marketers and networks of each country view as most important in generating advertising revenue, there is no way with characters like Mourinho, Abramovich, and Ronaldinho that this match doesn't get top billing.
Its an interesting argument, nonetheless, that you pose. Why ask why...lets just enjoy the second round of Champions League footy :D

In the name of William Hill, I would like to encourage you to put your monthly salary on this. Only, you should replace Juve by Real and AC Milan by Man United. Thank you. We love people with footballing expertise.

I think you are vastly underestimating Milan's appeal worldwide. Hell, Milan probably have more than 30M fans in China alone(Milan are by far the most popular club in China). I think Milan and Barca are about equal in fanbase worldwide. But ManU trumps Chelsea so this is why I think most channels will show the Milan/ManU game.
