Anyone think we've got £20m to spend? No, didn't think so.

I thought they were going to look at bringing in a young keeper...?

1) Arsenal cannot afford that amount
2) They could get that money from another team and not a local rival
3) Is King worth £20m?

That is what they said last year - and bang - JAR9 is in North London

They can afford 20 million for a player like King, the qualifying for the last 16 of the CL would cover it, I say go for it, even if it's only to wind spurs up, and detract them from their chase for the championship :D

oh don't get me wrong Lanesra, I think King would be a good move..
Just think it may be unrealistic. Surely there is no way Spurs would do it, right?

They thought that about Sol too though didn't they? That he would never leave? :) He could be the next traitor or defector....who knows!

I have heard some say he is decent as a holding mid also? If we were to get him would you see him as a CB or would put him on the wing?

Ill do this nicephoras style.. lol
Sperz didn't sell us Campbell so they really didn't have a say in it.

I see him as an athletic CB, which would just push Lauren out of the team and move Toure to the RB spot (utilizing his brilliant offense prowess *did i just use that word? lol)

Stop with this Toure at RB ****************! He's not a ********ing right back, just because he did well for few games last season doesn't mean he can consistently perform there.

King has only one advantage over Toure and that is aerially, but Toure's so much better in every other department.

Lastly, do any of you work on the Arsenal board? Unlikely, so stfu with this not being able to afford 20 mill nonsense.

phishy, what's your problem with Lauren? He's been one of our best players this season, and probably best RB in the league.

The guy is so unappreciated it pisses me off. ******** GUYS, try watching him play!

He is a decent RB.. but he just doesn't have IT.. he is VERY average going forward, and VERY average defending.. now combined, he does the job.. I guess for a little team like Arsenal, I should be content with him.

That is what they said last year - and bang - JAR9 is in North LondonWhich was something like £7.5m up front, some in installments and some depending on winning the league, cup, champions league, the boat race, the grand national and the x prize (oh well, the x prize is gone).

Can't see Sperz going for anything other than the bulk of it in cash up front.

@MT - Toure could be a good right back, his performances in the centre have been distinctly average this year. If we could get a good commanding centre back in I'd be all for moving him over. And if you have some inside information that we do indeed have £20m sitting around waiting to be spent on Mr. King then I'd love to hear it. I'd say it's much more likely that he's well out of our price range.
