The three german teams have these ties
bayern munich - arsenal
bayer leverkusen - liverpool
bremen - lyon
(other draws are as follows - barca/chelsea, manU/milan, porto/inter, monaco/psv, juventus/real madrid)
your views on the draw for the german teams?
personally, i think their chances are pretty good, all 3 have a good chance of making it, providing they play at the level they are capable of.

Kahn vs Lehmann priceless :D

i think lehmann will opt out (if he is even asked to play in the first place) because being beat by bayern who will probably have olli as keeper will be a slap in the face during the heated goalie-battle for germany. arsenal has a good attack, but i think bayern will win, they are playing at home first too. bremen will most likely beat lyonn in my opinion, and liverpool will have a hard time beating leverkusen, especially at home where they have been so good

arsenal will beat bayern easy 2-0 in munich then 1-0 at highbury. and lehmann will score
How is going to do that from the bench?

well makkay will clear it out for a throwing and then before it goes over the line lehmann will volley it into the goal hitting kahn on the big head of his. lol
im not sure wether he will start. thats what the whole match before will be talking about kahn vs lehmann and it shouldnt be
arsenal 2-0 munich

Sticked this thread as this will now become the official champions league thread for all German teams.
Also, consider this as warning. No personal attacks are allowed in this thread.

All the teams have a good chance. Arsenal haven t been on the best form lately so Bayern will definately have an opportunity to qualify.
Bremen and Lyon will be very exciting, two extremely evenly matched teams.
As for Leverkusen, liverpool have also not been at their best this season so Leverkusen should be able to eliminate them.

Bremen might have the toughest challenge, Lyon have quietly built themselves into a very storng team. They are no slouches, and will probabley knock out Bremen, IMO.
Arsenal just have the weirdest way of going about the CL. one night they can look totally awful and the next play superbly. Which side faces bayern? i am not sure, But Bayern better be ready. I'd like to see Bayern employ players like Jeremies to deal out tough tackles and play a disruptive game, thats a way of throwing Arse off its game, by just frustrating them.
Leverkusen can beat liverpool, i totally belive that after seeing Burnley hold off Pool and even score another goal in their FA cup match. To be honest though Pool have a lot of injuries, if they start getting players back it wont be as easy for Leverkusen.

You are right about Lyon, but one could say the same about Werder Bremen. I do not see a favorite in this match. On a good day, both teams could advance. They`re pretty equal, I think.

This is going to be a very interesting game anyway...maybe doesn't sound as spectacular as Real-Juve, but still two very strong and ambitious teams that are worth each other...

Thanks for the feedback, yet seeing as how bremen struggled to advance and Lyon were pretty formidable this year and last I see no reason to change my mind.

I see all teams evenly matched, regardless of how they are paired up. I'd say the top teams in Europe right now are Juve, Barca, and Chelsea, none of which figures into this draw.

Well said. Lyon is really on a roll, but is the competition of Ligue 1 equal to that of the Bundesliga this season....I think not AND I watch Ligue 1, as well. Anything can happen in the Champions League...not always skill, luck does play a factor.

I think all German teams win their home games.
Munich will be trained to that game, a prestige.
Leverkusen is mostly strong enough for english teams, the style.
Bremen will win without problems, the enemy for french plays on Bremen side,
Ismael, Micoud,....
