From soccernet:

Arsenal midfielders Fredrik Ljungberg and Edu should be fit to return to action at the end of the month, manager Arsene Wenger said on Thursday.
Ljungberg has missed the last two games with a migraine and Edu, at the centre of transfer rumblings, has been out since breaking his toe on November 9.

Both players will miss Sunday's game at Portsmouth but will be in contention to face Fulham on December 26.

'Freddie's seen a specialist,' Wenger said. 'He is now well and is slowly starting to practice in small sessions. He should be fit for the Christmas period. Edu should be with the reserves on Tuesday night.'

Defender Pascal Cygan and midfielder Gilberto Silva are still our injured but captain Patrick Vieira will return after suspension.

I wonder if Edu will really play once he is fit, or if AW will actually start him. Guess it will be decided once he decides on a team to play for.

Be glad to see Freddie back in the lineup.

I wonder what the contract-year mentality is with soccer players. You would think that if Edu knows he's leaving, he's not exactly set the world on fire, he'd be desperate to play well and increase his earning power. Of course, Wenger's trying to build a team, but Edu with passion is none too bad...

Edu in the reserves next tuesday, huh. Will it be his last appearance in an Arsenal jersey? There's only three games till the transfer window opens. Will Wenger let him go out in style or sit him down like the evil coach in just about every sports movie ever mad?. I'd play him, if only to rest the kids.

Wenger should let Edu rott on the bench.

Wenger should let Edu rott on the bench.

Forget the bench, AW should let him train with the youth team and let other players be on the bench.

No bloody loyalty from half the players out there. Edu was a nobody when he joined.
I know I should wish him well with his future club but i can't.

If Edu doesn't sign a new contract then I wouldn't play him. If he doesn't want to play for us, then he shouldn't be put in. If he doesn't want to play for us then we should be looking to get any sort of a fee for him, playing him a risking a potential injury would be foolish. With Vieira back we can rotate Flamini and Fabregas next to him to keep them both fresh.

Any one have an inside scoop on how Freddie is doing? If he had the CT scan or what?

He had the scan, but I am not sure what the actual results are. I did read that he is starting to train again and should be fit by the end of the month.
