Big match for Fulham. Fulham need all 3 points to get away from the relegation battle.

This indeed is a huge match for Fulham. It is a London derby, it is on the road, and Charlton is a team that is within reach of catching in the next few weeks. It would be a great Christmas present for all Fulham fans to get three points out of this. Charlton is playing decent right now. They beat West Brom last weekend and the week before that they beat Palace. Now those are not spectacular teams, but they are teams they needed to beat and did beat. I think if Fulham can play the way they did yesterday they can win this match.
Boa Morte, Jensen, and possibly Bonnissel will be back for selection. This is great as starting Monday Fulham will play 4 matches in 12 days.

Has anyone ever met a Charlton fan?

I know Fulham fans are rare..but seriously, Charlton Athletic?

I liked the Motterman article, i was looking around for him to give him some rep points because I enjoyed reading his article.

The interviews are a good idea

I think it is a unique idea. I will be doing one for each match. I am trying to find a Birmingham City fan now. I actually tracked down a Palace fan over the weekend.

Hi..

I was over in london in nov of 03, tried to get tickets to several matches at bigger clubs.. the only club that would help me was charlton.. so I went to the 3-1 result v fulham and had one of the best times in my life. instant addick from the kickoff and the first time i heard "valley floyd road" echoing through the valley from the north stand.

anyway yeah.. small club with an even smaller fan base in the usa..

they are starting to play like charlton again.. hard working for 90 mins.. should be a good match.

It seems to be a similar story with most small club supporters. Can't find tickets to the Arsenal or Chelsea game, so they go to a smaller clubs grounds and instantly fall in love.

Seems to me that most of the ManU, Arsenal, and Chelsea American fans have never been to their home grounds, and if they have, it was after they determined that they would be a glory hunter well beforehand.

Good luck next week.

Most American ManU,Arse,Scum supporters support the team is because.

1.They are always on TV so if your a new to Football most likely your first match will be on of theses teams.

2.They are some of the more popular teams in the World.

3.They win and are some of the best teams in the world.

Ok i was new to English Football last year the beginning of the season and only had tape delay matches and Man U or Arse was always on i could of easily became a fan of one of those teams. If a team is always on you will most likely follow that team but, i waited and watched Fulham and they had penalty call that was denied and i got really mad then i knew that Fulham was my team.

team (if healthy):

---------EVDS-----------
Volz-Pearce-Rehman-Boca
----------Diop-----------
---Jensen------Boa Morte
---------Steed-----------
-----Cole------McBride---

2-1 Fulham (Cole, Boa Morte) if we are on our game from the start. Otherwise, it could be another Blackburn banana skin.

Good preview. If Fulham can get a result at the Valley, I think they could be in good shape over the next few weeks with so many players returning from injury. It's nice to have matches live on FSW two weeks in a row!

I second this. However, originally I read that the Fulham-Arsenal match on Boxer's Day, Dec. 26th, was supposed to be on tape delay, but now I am not seeing any listing at all for the match. The next televised match after the Charlton one will be Wednesday, January 5th at 2PM CST against Southampton.

Where do you check the listings? soccertv.com only goes up to 15 days (they don't have the Arsenal match listed either).

PS - I think it's Boxing Day, not Boxer's Day. But Boxer's Day sounds more interesting to me :)

I think you are right on the Boxing Day. As for soccertv.com I subscribed to the email and usually the email gives more detailed descriptions that the site does. In fact, the one I received yesterday, goes all the way til the end of January with the EPL listings.

The West Brom match in the middle of January should be on as well since its a Sunday match and at 4:00 local time.As for the Arse match well that should be on.Arse have not been on TV like 2 times this year.

Quick quetion to the English, when you celebrate boxing day do you actually switch roles with employers or is that stictly in the military? Here in Canada we just have a sale on everything for a week. :o
