Soccer AM on skysports last Saturday morning had some new prototype boots that David Johnson (of Nottingham Forest) was testing out for Nedved and Uhlsport.
Apparently only two pairs in the country (UK), one which Johnson has, the other that they had in the studio.
http://editorial.gettyimages.com and search on ' "David Johnson" Forest' and you will see a pic of them that he was wearing in the match against Derby County on Saturday.
I like the look of the Uhlsport L650 MD's, but by the look of it they have tried to copy the design of the AZT90's too much, which is disappointing.
What do you guys think ?

Those are pretty sweet looking boots, they look more like the XAI 3 from umbro than the total 90 to me but its just because they have a big white line running in the center of the boot.
I have always been curious about Uhlsport boots, they make great keeper stuff but I have wondered about their shoes for a while, I think the L650 is on sale at Eurosport I might pick up a pair for kicks and see how I like them kicking the ball around in my house...........

That's exactly what they reminded me of. The XAI 3.

Yep, it was the 2's I was talking about -I didnt say that as I thought it was obvious.
I would be interested in someone's feedback who has used the Uhlsports -do they fit wide, or narrow, do they offer much support etc...
Anyone got any ?

Hey guys,
I just did a search for Uhlsport L650 to see if anybody ever talks about them, and this is what i got. I have had a pair of the L650's since june and i'll tell you what, they're awesome. I'm really into finding rare boots that not a lot of people have, and i have to say that these shoes are awesome. They are kind of bulky looking on on your feet, but they feel really good. They're not leather, but i seriously have never put on a more comfortable pair of boots, out of the box, in my life. They're pretty average in terms of weight, but for some reason i really like the way they designed the tounge and the laces. The tounge isn't a fold down or anything, as i'm sure you can see from the pics of them in europsort, but they're hands down the most comfotable shoes i've ever worn. The only problem i have with them is they're a pain in the ass to clean because they seem to take a bit of grass stain in the toe box area, but i've just learned to clean them straight after a match to make sure they stay clean. Let me know if you need to know anything else about them and i'll be happy to get back to you guys as soon as i can.

I've always wanted to try the L650, but I've never seen them here in norway. A year ago I was in Italy and tried the Uhlsport Precision classic and the outsole were very stiff, very hard to bend the sole when you ran. Hows the outsole of the L650??

Hey man,
Sorry it took so long to get back to your question. The L650's are actually pretty flexible. I know what you mean by not liking boots that are really stiff. I find its actually harder to strike a ball when you can't bend the sole at all. I think it's a trade off, stability for flexibility. I honestly think you'd be happy in these uhlsport boots. If you go to soccer.com you can get them on sale if you're a goal club member. You can save like 60 bucks if you are. Like i said earlier in the thread, the boots really are quality. I love the way they fit my wide feet, and they're hands down still the most comfortable boots i've ever worn.
Cheers

Thanks for the info becks!! I've got very wide feet myself, hopefully I'll find them here in norway so I can try them out.
