Arsenal need a really big win to make a splash in the EPL. Let's head south to Portsmouth and nail Pompey to the wall. I'm thinking 3-0 to the Gunners.....Pires, Henry, and Reyes.
Come on Arsenal!

Well after todays display, Im very confident of going to Pompey and getting a good result. We really have to tighten up on our set play defences and sort out corner taking.
3-1 to the Arsenal. Henry and I think Toure will get one!!!!

Though we only got a draw today, I think we took a step in the right direction, I think we'll blow Portsmouth off the park. 5-1 to the Arsenal!

No, he's just caught up in this vicious circle where he started so many of these threads and predicted 2-0 that if he doesn't do so he gets a bunch of stick from everyone.
Anyways, I think we'll finally see a RVP start and I'm predicting 4-0 to the good guys. November's over and hopefully the team's turned a corner.

Yeah but Catfish is becoming like that guy at the Roulette table who's been betting on 20 all night, keeps losing, has already had to go to the ATM, but won't quit until 20 comes up :D
Seriously, Pompey should be tired after a two game week, and with Yakubu injured dont have the personnel to effectively counterattack and make us timid in defense. Plus I really think Liverpool is going to come out hard and fast against them after losing to Everton. Plus with all the coaching problems, you'd think we have a psychological edge. Then of course you will probably see the returns of Patrick and Freddie, who will be well rested and ready to play. Plus of course we are coming off a great week, with two huge wins and a good draw.
I'd really like to see Arsene switch the squad up a bit, starting this line-up
-------------Almunia----------------
---Cole---Lauren---Campbell---Toure
Ljungberg-----Vieria-------------Pires
----------------Reyes---------------
Van Persie----------------------Henry
I'm predicting 4-1, with goals by Henry, Ljungberg, Vieria, and Campbell. Like Catfish, I will stand at the Arsenal roulette table all year betting on a goal by Sol until it happens ;)

3-1 to the Arsenal, JAR9, Henry, Pires.
Rick, you better hope it doesn't rain since Fratton Park's away stand isn't covered ;)

Ok guys-2 posts in the same thread each predicting a goal for our center backs? Interesting..... I thought that Sol is only allowed to score headers and then be called for a foul or offisides though! ;) Oh wait that is for the national team. Ok then goals for all the defenders then!

My lineup:
------------ Lehmann ------------
Lauren---Toure---Campbell---Cole
Pires---Viera ---Flamini---Reyes
Henry----Van Persie
Bench: Bergkamp, Clichy, Senderos, Fabregas, Almunia
I know that Wenger will most likely give Almunia another start, but i disagree, Lehmann should have started against Chelsea and should start against Portsmouth. I also think that its time to give Fabregas a rest and see how Flamini and Viera mesh together. Bergkamp needs a break and Van Persie deserves a start. It would also be a good time to rest Reyes, but with Ljungberg out and Pennant questionable, i don't see it happening.

I think 4-1 with the 1 against coming from a set play (of course :D )
With Freddie still out (someone give him some extra strengh panadol (tylenol)!!!) pennant should start. Hopefully Van Persie will also start and Cesc should be rested.

Lauren..........Campbell........Toure..........Cole
Pennant.........Viera............Flamini.........Pires

Does anyone know if the entire away end is for away supporters? Or is it split into part away and part home?
I ask because I'll be at the match and in that stand. I got the tickets through Portsmouth (I sent an e-mail saying that I was traveling over from the States with two friends and would like to see a match there). I was prepared to sit wherever I had to but I'm hoping I'll be in the away section so I can really enjoy myself.
I'd also appreciate any suggestions on local pubs or fish & chips. I've been to several Arsenal matches before but never at Portsmouth.

I would go with Fabregas in this match. I agree he needs a rest but I think this could be a good match for his development.
