Tab Ramos is retiring, Balboa contract expires after this season as well as Steve Jolley's. Hmmm Nick S. has some tough decisions to make. The Metros will have plenty of cap room and two first round draft picks. If Nick. S can't produce a quality team next year he's a goner. Balboa won't resign w/ the Metros, he is a Californian and is not gonna take a significant pay cut. Steve Jolley is a good player, but he is gonna demand a Petke like contract worth 120K a year, tough decision here? Joe Addo is a goner, as is Chronopolous they make a combined 80K atleast. You have plenty of cap room to deal with plus a due allocated player from the league once Tab leaves. We have some good young players in Akwari,Zaide and Davis they need a foreign veteran defender to anchor our weekesst link the defense.

Wow, I anticipated reading about Jolley and Balboa signing new contracts, based upon the subject of this thread. Thanks for the enlightening information that hasn't already been discussed ad nauseum.

Why do we need a foreign veteran defender? Because Nick said so? Someone here can probably tell me which foreign veteran defenders anchor the defense of every other MLS Club. I just don't know, maybe Nick is on to something here.
