Leffler, 59, who has a place on the board of the Glazer family's Zapata Corporation, said: "The only reason they hate [Glazer] – if they hate him – is xenophobia and fear of the unknown, it's not logic. Our job is to change that. To show that this is a true sportsman who will run your franchise like it should be run and win you championships."
I love how Leffler thinks Utd isn't being run correctly and that we are a loser club who win nothing. We are debt free, have the biggest stadium in the land and the biggest fan base on the planet that is still growing. Well I don't remember the last time we won a major honor, do you? It was the FA Cup last season and the Premier League the season before. I can't stand how he has hired someone whose only experience is within the NFL. You can move and takeover a team in the NFL and noone cares but he just doesn't understand that you don't ********** with someones football club. I am going to ask for some shares to UTD for X-mas and I'm joining Shareholder's United to protect MY/OUR club from this devil incarnate.

He could buy us Gerrard that would be good.

Glazer won't be able to buy shite. The club will be so loaded with debt that ticket prices will be raised and then the common folk won't be able to attend matches and we will have a 67K library like highbury. Glazer is bad for the club but he isn't doing himself any favors by having his new PR man call Utd losers.

You're going to ask for some shares? I'll tell you what: once you've moved out of your parents house and gotten a job, perhaps then you'll be qualified to judge. Until then, enjoy the FC Frisco.

I'm actually one of those who believe that there's a tiny bit of truth to the accusation. But, regardless, it's not the primary reason most fans don't want him taking over. Or even the second.

1. The fans don't want any single person owning United ( a mistake, imho)
2. He doesn't have enough money, so he'd have to loot the club to buy it.
3. He's American (I do think it's a factor in some of the English fans opinion).

Shares are only like £2.70. I think Glazer should buy us Gerrard out of good nature for pissing everyone off.

Wow!! Unusually harsh, even for a ManU fan. Good to see the love is still in the room.

I've just been watching the video of Fever Pitch and precisely the same thing occurred to me as I watched. Glazer and his PR guys should watch this (or better still read the book) to get an idea of what the relationship is between the fans and a club and just why he's so unpopular
