Ok a win would place us in first place for the winter break, and statistics show that the winter leader normally go on to win the league.

Lucio seems to be back into contention after coming back from injury so I expect a similar lineup with Kuffour being dropped after being lambasted by Magath for his performance against Ajax.

Who replaces Kuffour??

I see this lineup:
.......................Kahn
Hargreaves...Lucio...Demichelis...Rau
......................Ballack
Schweinsteiger............Ze Roberto
......................Frings
............Makaay........Pizarro

Anybody see Deisler getting anytime on the field?

I think he will... perhaps even start. I just don't want him playing behind the forwards. This has been tried before and I didn't like it when I saw it in Chicago... still don't like it now.

Interesting since he says that is his favorite position. I think we are too far in the season for Magath experimenting with him behind the forwards. Maybe in cup games.

FROM FCB

Probable line-ups:

Bayern Munich: Kahn – Kuffour, Lucio, Kovac, Rau – Hargreaves (Schweinsteiger), Ballack, Frings, Zé Roberto – Makaay, Pizarro

VfB Stuttgart: Hildebrand - Hinkel, Stranzl, Babbel, Lahm – Meira - Meißner, Hleb, Heldt - Kuranyi, Cacau

Looks like Sammy K., Ze Roberto and Rau get another run out. No Demichelis.

ALSO of note from site

"Lucio should be fit to start after muscle problems, although there is a question-mark over Owen Hargreaves. The England man took a knock on the calf against Ajax and needed treatment on Friday."

****. im worried about this game. Well, we re gonna have to keep our backline solid with Timo proving he s better than Khan and maybe a little help from one of your own players, Phillip Lahm. Then in midfield, we re gonna have to play without Soldo, which means Heldt, an ex-1860 Munich star, will be captain, that should be interesting. Perhaps Meira will take Soldo s place, im not sure about that.

Maybe a lucky goal we can manage and then take the game from there. But the problem is that there is no one good enough next to Kuranyi with Cacau and Szabics both on poor form lately and Gomez too inexperienced to be used in a game like this.

Oh well, fingers crossed.

Same here... FSW highlight half-time show will be my only viewing. The connection at the Xmas Tree Farm (I work my in-laws tree farm this weekend) has only a 56K modem on the only phone line, and I can't tie it up for the ticker... damn it!

Someone please help out Mr. SINISTER... thanks for volunteering.
I will check back later and do what I can to help.

I say JPG on for Pizza, Schweiny for Ze or Owen shortly after the break. Man, I hope Scholl makes a speedy recover... he was our game-breaker in the second half (well, in all fairness... he AND JPG)
