Diego maradona claimed in his autobiography that Passarella was having an affair with a wife of a famous player baswed in Monaco. Anyone knoew what he was talking abvout?

No but He should have some respect! He wouldn't like it if I screwed his wife if he was married or his girlfriend!!!

According to Maradona, the 1986 WC team was split into two camps. They had a confrontation in a team meeting. Maradona told the team about Passarella's affair with another player's wife. Upon hearing the story, Valdano, who was on Passarella's camp, became very angry and switched sides. Passarella left the WC team after the meeting.
Maradona said that Passarella went to Monaco to see the wife. I just checked with the Monaco's roster in 1985 and 1986. Juan Ernesto Simon was playing for them.

Yes, he kept Redondo out of the NT.
Anyway, this is only an accusation by Maradona. I am trying to see if it was indeed a well-known rumor in Argentina.

Yeap thats what they say about him...Remember that Pasarella was the NTs captain then it was Maradona for the 86 WC on till he retired from it.Also they said that he was or had some virus that kept him from playing in that same WC in Mexico,which I find hard to believe for the fact that Pasarella was an outstanding player and couldve easily played on that team something wasnt right but who knows what really happen? Maybe Maradona is telling the truth...
