Ok, here we'll have some PBP and discussion for today's match.
First off, Trezeguet is back. Let's hope that he'll make a difference and finish some of the chances that DiVaio missed.

Di Vaio will start instead of Trezeguet according to probably starters listed at RAI:
Buffon
Thuram
Iuliano
Montero
Birindelli
Camoranesi
Baiocco
Davids
Nedved
Di Vaio
Del Piero
On the bench: Chimenti, Ferrara,Zambrotta,
Fresi, Tudor, Salas, Trezeguet
Nice to have Zambrotta and Tudor available, as well as Trezeguet.

RAI had several players wrong -
Buffon
Ferrara
Tacchinardi
Montero
Del Piero
Nedved
Camoranesi
Di Vaio
Thuram
Moretti
Davids
Is this the same lineup as last week? seems very familiar.

It is, with the only difference being Moretti in instead of Birindelli.
And it's off.

They made that same mistake last week, too. Somebody doesn't like Birindelli. Well, besides me. Still remember him bungling against Celta Vigo two (?) years ago. But that was a black night all around.
Ferrara booked early again. Guess this means he'll miss the next match.

I still remember tha game against Vigo, where Montero was given the boot and the gesture he made towards the crowd. Good ol' Hugh Dallas was the ref of that match.

It looks like Juve is putting the pressure on early, let's hope they can keep it up and get something out of it.

He threw Conte out, too. And Van der Saar - argh, what a disaster that was. And all the other Italian teams lost that night, too.

Roma also lost to Leeds that night, and I remember the announcer saying solemnly "E anche Roma e eliminata." (or whatever - my Italian is awful when I have to write it by myself).

That was a really crappy night. I was so pissed that night too, I get too emotional over this team.

LOL, I see we both got excited.
I would like to see 3 more, just to get a safe lead with goal differential.

That would be nice. Surely, Lippi knows you better not be happy with a 1-0 result. Especially at home. Are you following the Newcastle-Feyenoord game at all, or just this one? I'm trying not to see the Milan result so I can watch it on tape tonight.
