View Full Version : The English League's 3 Welsh clubs

Saw this. Was wondering if there'd be any rivalry developed or if there already is one?
Cardiff is 21st in the Championship.
Wrexham is 22nd in League One.
Swansea is 2nd in League Two.
If Cardiff is relegated, Wrexham stays put, and Swansea is promoted, all three Welsh clubs will be in the same division. Nothing else, probably help out the teams financially just for a small rivalry factor.

There is a huge rivalry between Cardiff and Swansea. They have been in the same league many times before and absolutely hate each other.
No-one really cares about Wrexham. They are absolutely miles away.

Yeah, but not many Welsh people post here. It's mainly Scottish and I wouldn't have thought a Scot would have been able to give as good an answer as someone who supports an English lower league team. Just trying to be helpfull. But Comme's answerwed you anyway.

as a cardiff fan in the se of england we do indeed hate swansea and have played them many times, we also have played wresam many times
having said that its the only 'derby' that takes 5 hours for the away team to get to.
met many wresam fans over the years on wales awy trips and they are great in the main.
RE this forum THERE HAS TO BE A WALES ONLY FORUM as its all old firm shite (and it is shite)
we play in the english league for one reason, we always have!!! before FIFA were even formed
we used to get into europe if we won the welsh club (got to semsi of ecwc once) but that was blocked to us 2 teams (plus 3 welsh teams who play in non league english system)
not difficult to get head around
