On the front page of ESPN.com there is a story on a death threat to the PSV coach http://espn.go.com/soccer/news/2002/0924/1435934.html
I looked on espn's soccernet.com front page and didn't see the story at all. Is it old news and that's why its only on espn? or is it the dreaded conspiracy...

I think this came out a week or two ago. Not much else has been said about it.

The same reason why Ronaldo missing Real's match was on the front page. Enough people care.

while espn.com and soccernet.com are linked they are not really run by the same people (in terms of content).
the espn/starwave/disney internet people helped soccernet get up and running but their content, etc... is still their own.
