We need a win here to have a realistic chance of qualifing for the next round comfortably - The worrying thing is that only about 40,000 seats have been sold - starting at £27 , this is a large financial commitment for many in Newcastle.

For the Juve match in Turin, seats begin at 10 Euros ( £6 ), 5 Euros for season ticket holders in the Juve end.......Newcastle are charging £20 for the the same ticket , but for the Newcastle end of the match in Turin.

Surely its better to get a full house for the important home games that we have to win, rather than make as much cash as possible from them ?

Judging by greenie's post, I think I know what that means.

Absolutely right. Not only that, but it makes better business sense to sell out at a lower price than to have the ground 20% empty at a higher price. Not only do you get extra income from tickets, but also much more in terms of ancillary income (e.g. programmes, catering etc.)

I think the attendance will be better for Juventus, just on the basis that they are a truly "big name". But, if the Toon are still bottom when Kiev come to call, look out for a shockingly low attendance then.

Having said all of that, the atmosphere wasn't too bad last night. It would have been improved by another 10,000 supporters, however.
