Sunday: Alias, Angel, probably Boomtown, maybe Charmed (the true test will be taping both Alias and Angel cuz they're on at the same time)
Monday: nothing really appeals to me, maybe Girls Club when it starts.
Tuesday: Buffy, Just Shoot Me (another vcr test...it airs during the second half of Buffy), maybe Haunted
Wednesday: My Wife and Kids, Birds of Prey, Presidio Med
Thurs: all of "must see tv" except Friends (i'm continuing my boycott cuz of the unreal depiction of NYC)
Friday: Firefly (joss whedon is a god!)
Saturday: who really watches TV on Saturday? nothing really appeals.

I can't say much for the rest of your picks (especially dissing "The Sopranos" on Sunday), but I do applaud you for saying no to "Friends."

Sopranos gets reaired on various HBO channels throughout the week, so I can usually catch it at various other times. That's also what I'm going to have to do when Sex and the City and Arli$$ return. Sunday at 9 is just a time that has too many shows to choose from. Something has to give and it won't be Angel (it's quickly overtaking Buffy as my fave show)

I know what you're saying. I guess I'm just stupid (or just from NJ) I'd rather watch the Sopranos for the second time in one week rather than catching something like the season premiere of "Will and Grace"

Let me ask you, I know you're a big "Buffy" fan. I've been thinking about checking it out for awhile. Can I start with the new episodes, or should I catch up with the reruns on FX first?

Catch the reruns as much as you can, but you'll be in luck....this season's theme is "back to the beginning" so that might help you catch up too. They do refer to things in past eps a lot so there might be some dialogue that has you saying "what?"

Another suggestion...Watcher's Guides Vol 1 and 2. Great reads....has the summary of each ep for seasons 1-4. Another vol should probably be coming out soon cuz each volume has 2 seasons in it. Plus you get extras like behind the scenes stuff about scripts, stunts, makeup, actor bios, stuff like that.

Also, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I'll probably start a Buffy thread tomorrow night when I get home from work.

Thanks Aimer. I've always heard that Buffy was good, but I never took the time to check it out. I will check out the Fx re-runs and give it a chance. Muchas gracias!

Agreed--especially since the writing was sharper in the earlier seasons. I quit watching the show last season because the manipulative storylines were a pain, but my wife watched the reruns this summer and I sat down with her, so I'll probably watch the season premier. Supposedly, this season will focus more on humor.

Edit: sorry (forgot the point of the thread)
Sunday: Sopranos, Angel
Monday: I play indoor soccer (we have 3 ties in 3 games, going for .500 the hard way)
Tuesday: Maybe Buffy, NYPD Blue
Wednesday: West Wing
Thursday: Nothing good is on, so I usually read
Friday: Dunno, maybe that new Sci-Fi series by Whedon, since it’s gotten so much press
Saturday, nothing regular

Sunday: Football all day, Simpsons, Sopranos
Monday: Football
Tuesday: That '70s Show, Grounded For Life, 24
Wednesday: You know, I don't even know what's on Wednesday nights this season. South Park, anyway.
Thursday: NBC Thursday night sitcoms
Friday/Saturday: Rarely home; when I am, movies

Rangers hockey supersedes everything except new episodes of Sopranos and 24.

As with all seasons, I'll be watching Blackburn Rovers.

I would say save yourself the aggro lad, but you do have one of the top two keepers in the Premiership :)

BTW, this is totally off topic, but I do like your musical taste. What do you think of the new Coldplay? You can reply in the "Coldplay" thread so we don't totally hijack this thread.

My wife watches this all the time. I'll sit with her occasionally and it's not bad.

Sunday: Simpsons, The Practice, The Man Show, South Park
Monday: Whose Line is it Anyway, MNF
Tuesday: That 70's show, 24 (imo, the best show on TV), Battlebots
Wednesday: Enterprise, then to the local bar.
Thursday: NBC's shows
Friday and Saturday: Bar-time once again

This will probably get me flamed, but I try to watch Pardon the Interruption every day.

Also, I'll watch just about any sport (preferably soccer) that's on TV.

I stopped watching Sportscenter and watch PTI now instead. Kinda weak when Wilbon or Tony isn't on though.

Sunday: Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle, Angel
Monday: WWE Raw [1]
Tuesday: Buffy, Smallville
Wednesday: Twilight Zone [2]
Thursday: Survivor [3], Smackdown [1]
Friday: Justice League, Firefly (missed the premiere last week), Farscape (when it returns to SciFi in January)
Saturday: Soccer Saturday

[1] The wrestling mostly gets watched on fast forward.

[2] The first episode was kind of mediocre, I will drop it in a few weeks if it doesn't improve.

[3] I only watch Survivor so I can keep up with the conversations here at work. I don't really like it.

Oh yeah, I plan on watching as much of the PBS re-broadcast of the Civil War as possible. I think it starts soon.

bill- better send in your letters to SciFi then as part of the letter writing campaign....They canned Farscape.

Programming note:

Just checked out TVGuide.com to make sure I have the vcr set to all the right channels. The first ep of Presidio Med is airing tonight at 10 instead of it's regular spot at 10 on Wed...the second ep airs tomorrow at 10. Also, Just Shoot Me isn't starting until next week. If they're wrong....i'll kill them.
