Now I go into this expecting no one to be able to have any clue what I am talking about but it can't hurt to ask so here it goes.
3 years ago I was in the U.K. and I took the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow. While on the train we passed a stadium. From what I saw it wasn't a giant one but still a good size and it was out in the open. There were some trees and hills in the background that I think I can remember but around the stadium itself it was pretty wide open for a bit of a distance. Also the stadium was on the trains left side.
Like I said this is somewhat vague but hopfully some people out there know the stadium that you can see from that train and the team that plays there.
Thanks.

Could've been Clyde, can't remember if you'd see it from the train line though. It's out in the open, has 3 stands, Capacity is about 8000, It's white with some red, red seats and it has training pitches beside it.

Clyde's Broadwood Stadium is the only one which is out in the open and is on the way from Glasgow to Edinburgh that come's to mind.

I can't help, sorry. I'm just intensely curious as to what's made you suddenly want to identify it three years later.

Looking at pictures(Not of the stadium) and talking about these two guys who had been fishing and how they stunk.

3 years ago Broadwood Stadium had a wall running along the north side, which is now enclosed by a stand. So it may be the same stadium that you refer to.
It can be viewed on the Edinburgh-Glasgow train ride via Falkirk line, just south of the rail line near Croy (smellville) station.

I thought it has a white roof on it and possibly enclosed?

that sounds like broadwood. i used to frequent games there for both Clyde and Airdrie and the roofing is indeed white and silver.
If your train went via Falkirk, then thats the only stadium you can view from that rail line.
The only other Glasgow to Edinburgh line is via Livingston, and I dont know if you can see Almondvale stadium from it.
