I thought i would do this before the league matches... no idea that this would come up early with some midweek european matches. That'll teach me to be away from the computer i guess.

Maybe we could have an announced day in the future for this thread being opened if there are going to be special matches....? I'm not only saying this for me, but for all the others that feel a bit bad about midweek european matches being thrown in 4 days before the league matches. Or in the future if there are to be midweek matches they be added on the end and not the beginning. That way no one would miss them.
I think the best way to have added these midweek matches would have been to put them on Week 6's list. (I like most other's assumed that week 7 started on the weekend and not 4 days before.
I think it would be easier on everyone if a week's list included that football week, which is Saturday through Friday. This way no one really misses out on midweek matches, as they are aware of them from looking at the weekend's matches. That is the reason i missed them, as i assumed that the list of the premiership predictions started on Saturday, the day when the premiership matches are played. I think that this is probably the reason that several other players missed them as well. So basically i think that all matches for the week should be posted for the week they are going to be played in, this way everyone will know when they have to have their predictions submitted by.
Sorry about ranting a bit, and I'm not upset. I think its a really great thing you are doing here, and I'm enjoying playing a lot. I hope my idea about placement of matches will be incorperated as i believe it will make it easier for all the contestants.
(I probably repeated myself a few times.... sorry, but I'm having a bit of trouble to find the right words to explain what i mean)

Looks like quite a few of us missed out on the bonus points.....
It does seem strange to have the European matches count in an English Premiership thread.... why not bang in some German, French and Italian league games as well :)
Splarg's idea seems fair..... Games to predict from Saturday through to Friday..... then most people will be in with a shout.
Oh well, I probably would have messed up on the wild card predictions anyway....

I take the points guys but I'm not for changing.
I said at the outset that I would include wild card matches and they won't just be from the Champions League either. I often include ones from Romanian, Israeli or Irish leagues as well - that's why they're wild card.
Also, mid week matches are a well established part of the season in the ELP. so getting them early should not catch you unawares. Note how the regulars at the top got their predictions in on time. The whole point is to have you log in regularly, and if you're not in, you can't win as they used to say in the Irish Sweepstakes......
