im sick of watching hertha (and they didnt even show the bayern-hertha game!!!)

ive only managed to catch bayern twice this weekend

if they dont show the bayern-stuttgart game later this month - thats it - as good as the other shows are on this channel (i dont even get to watch the bundesliga highlights show, as i dont get back from work that early in the day), im boycotting this channel

FSW has an EPL bias. Thats what they paid all the money for. They dont give a s*** about the Bundesliga.

leverkusen/wolfsburg is on tomorrow morning on Fox Sports World Canada. they show 2 games per week there, while here in the states we only get one.

Yeah, mostly because FSWC can't afford two EPL games on Sundays any more, so they need something cheaper to sublicense.

well leverkusen/wolfsburg WAS scheduled to be on, but instead it's stuttgart/dortmund.

oh BTW the hertha game was DEFINITELY worth watching.

So really, does anyone know why they don't show decent match-ups, like the derbys, or this weekend's Bayenr v VfB match? No offense, but I've no desire to see Bochum at all.

I don't even think BOCHUM wants to see Bochum at all, this season. They were the underdog darlings of last season, and I'll bet that's why we get to see so many Bochum games this time around.

I'm more surprised that we don't see just about every Dortmund game, being as they're a pretty popular club pretty much everywhere but in the U.S.

I honestly don't think FSI gets to pick which game they show. I'm pretty sure the company that handles German broadcasts chooses the live game it exports. I don't know how or why they make these choices however.

I think you're partially right. SportFive selects which games to export, with Brazil, Argentina, and Eastern/Central Europe being the primary export markets. But I think Oliver or FSW Producer said a long-time ago that FSI does get offered a couple of games every week from which they can pick. Since the Bundesliga is a filler product, they ordinarily pick the #1 Saturday game, which is usually either Bayern Munich and/or one of the top-5 teams in the standings.

FSW Canada, which can't afford the 11:00 AM EPL game anymore (not a lot of subscribers compared to Rogers Sportsnet), also gets the #1 Sunday game as picked by FSI.

An EPL bias? Bias indicates we PREFER EPL over everything else and that's not the case - it's a business decision based on where the money is and what the bulk of our subscribers want to see.

At least we show the Bundesliga period....Like some of the other posts alluded to, the choice is not necessarily ours to make - but we do the best we can each week.

If you're not happy with it Sportboy, subscribe to one of those other channels showing all the best Bundesliga games....Oh wait, there isn't one.

Interesting what you find on the SportFive website.

They manage the following team websites

Its no wonder we see Hertha and Bochum
