This could be in Jan transfer thread but thought it could have own thread given player's long association with United.

Any truth to the rumor?

Giggs has not set the world on fire this year but seems to be getting on form at the right time; can't imagine him in anything other than a United kit but all things come to an end...

Who would replace him? The prospect of Fletcher, Bellion etc doesn't excite me too much

Others would argue that CRon can fill in on the left. And there's always the question if SAF would be ready to throw Richardson to the lions. I personally can't see Bellion or Fletcher filling in over there, especially not Fletcher.

Even if Cronaldo switches to left, does SAF really think Fletcher is the long term solution for right mid?

Either way it seems there is a hole to fill; current personnel don't seem to be up to United standard yet, although SAF rates Fletcher

Nah the papers are just filling their pages with rumors. Does'nt Newcastle have Dyer, Jenas, Milner, Robert, and others on the wing? Thier problem seems to be defenseive right now, so I think they'd bring in a defender.

Plus Giggs has been playing excellent lately. Why upset team chemistry by selling him? Plus as many know we are not too deep on the wings, Fletch I think can be a quality winger, but until then we need support.

Just posturing... This is GIGGS we're talking about people. But, if it sells papers...

Now, if Manchester United come out and deny this rumor, I'm scared lol

Out of all the lads you have said, only Robert plays on the left, and souness wants rid of the french twat as soon as possible.

Jenas played a helluva game at LW and has been playing quite well there...

Jenas is a future England captain in my book. By the way, he bats for the other side. :D :D :D

Could it be because they are coutrymen? According to the unofficial world champions website": Scotland IS the greatest international team ever. (scratching my head)

I will never forgive United if they let Giggs go, especially as we are turning things around and Giggs is playing great. In every way he ought to remain I think. He can only go if we get a seriously good winger or two to take over, but it would still be "plan B" in that case.
