Nick is the Liverpool fan. Steven Cohen is the Chelsea fan who said he'd shave his head. I actually spoke with Steven yesterday and offered him my clippers for the job. He sounded like he was gonna do it.

With so many folks sporting the bald look, it's not such a bet payoff to shave your head (Unless you're Carlos Valderrama or somebody with long locks). Maybe it would be more of a payoff to refrain from shaving for three months or refrain from a haircut for a year.

Nick and Steven both said they were in the army? So the trauma of the bald look shouldn't be that unbearable.....

Wow. If I may ask, how the hell did 2 blokes from England wind up in the US Military? Props to both of you anyway.

How did that happen? Were you both Drafted or Drunk when you joined? Either way Thanks for protecting the American Empire.

Actually that happens more that some people may think, I was in the U.S. Marines '90-'94 and I met at least 2 guys who were English, yet they were serving in OUR military! I thought it was pretty cool! A few other buddies of mine had dual Citizenship with Canada/U.S. and at least 3 of my buddies were Mexican nationals who were undocumented but became citizens while in the Corps.

Funny how I was surrounded by all these ppl for whom football (soccer) was their passion, and they got me hooked on it!

No offense, but I'm having a hard time imagining the Liverpool fan having been in the 82nd.

No offense, but I still have trouble imagining my friend loading ammo into the turret of a tank in Iraq 8 months ago. But he did it.

The fact that I spent 6 months in ROTC with an offer of a GI scholarship is proof positive that they take various and sundry people into the Army. Doris Kearns Goodwin's kid just graduated Harvard, and is leading a tank column through the desert. I had a CO that once led a platoon of people given the option of army or jail (minor offenses), and chose the Army.

I find it strange that Nick was in the US army of all things, but not impossible to believe. Surely no more curious than being a Liverpool fan ( :p , go gunners).

On to important stuff, which one of you (Nick, Steven) is the bigger Smiths fan?

I wasn't referring to his psyche or anything, but his (lack of) physical conditioning.

Yeah, but 10 years ago or so?

Maradona was skinny once too, ya know.

(Hopefully steve's done a bit less of the nose candy.)
