it will be close, with Liverpool missing few players for injury I think Spurs will have the upper hand... I hope so anyway :)

Would be a decent bonus to get a result in this game although to be honest I'd be happier with another Premiership win at Blackburn if I had a choice. Problem with Carling Cup is that you only get something for winning it, and with Chelsea taking it seriously and having a strong squad, that's a big ask.
As it is we're looking light at centre back and short of leadership and experience. Naybet has a groin injury and Davenport is unfortunately cup-tied, Edman and Davis also out.
Important game for Gardner and Ricketts, if they play poorly this could be the beginning of the end of their Spurs careers.
-----------Robinson
Pamarot--King--Gardner--Atouba
Ricketts---Carrick--Mendes--Ziegler
----------Keane--Defoe

I'd rather have Davenport on for Atouba. Any sign of Edman?

Hey, this is gonna be our route into Europe and you don't even need to get to the final, let alone win the competition. If we beat Liverpool there will be us, Arsenal, Chelsea and Watford in the semis. Assuming that Chelsea and Arsenal will both be in the champions league next year (or if they're in the uefa cup it's down to league position). If we then get Watford in the semis then a win there would guarantee a uefa cup place. Not sure what happens if both spurs and watford were to get knocked out in the semis though. Any ideas??

Very good point. Now I have hope, which means I'll be even more dejected when we get stuffed by Liverpool. Thank you very much.

No.
The rules are that a team only gets the UEFA cup place if they win it. If a Champions League qualifying team wins it, it reverts to the league.

This could be Spurs most important game of the season. If we win this and draw Watford we could be staring at the UEFA cup. Lets not forget that Watford turned Portsmouth over.
I am really hopeful that we can win this and get some silverware.

This game is so important for us. Their is going to be a good atmosphere tonight, night games at the Lane usually creates a good atmosphere. I'm confident we will get the win & hope like everyone else left in the competition that we draw Watford.
Liverpool are without Steven Gerrard & Sky Sports say Jerzy Dudek will return in goal, with Stephen Warnock, Zak Whitbread, Igor Biscan and Salif Diao all expected to figure.

Milwall got the UEFA cup place last year for facing Man Utd in the final.

0-0 second half, Liverpool seemingly hanging on to a draw by their teeth. Ziegler seems a creative dynamo.

Gone a bit rubbish now. Judging from what I hear on the radio the passing is bad (especially from Carrick). Keane and Kanoute were doing great, as was Ziegler.
Now Defoe has come on for Ricketts.

Dudek is picking the ball out of the air. Long ball, crappy crossing, slow...stupid football from Spurs!
