Should Kiely Sit?

Yes, he is a great shot stopper. But he continues to be planted on his line during set pieces. He has to come out and punch or catch those corners at least. Chelsea punished us not only because HH was on the bench and Perry out hurt, but also because our keeper won't come out and take the ball away.

At this point, I say, bring on Andersen. He has played well in the reserves game. Maybe get Kiely's confidence back by winning the next match and then give Andersen his chance to show.

The talk on the Charlton email list is that it may be time to sit Deano for a match or two. While his shot stopping has been good, his distribution has been awful.

One person on the email list says that he's watched quite a few reserve matches and says that Andersen has been THROWING the ball past the halfway line and on target. Deano has been kicking balls out of play even when he isn't pressured.

All in all, maybe Dean just needs a little time on the bench to recharge himself and maybe he can get another view of how his defense is playing in front of him which would help him guide the troops from the back. Just an idea.

I think that Anderson should get his chance. Mabye not quite yet, but it should come sooner than later.
