The Washington Post loves to use puns in its headlines. I thought people might like sharing those headlines from around the country (world?). My first offering:
Match Is Sealed With a Miss: Terps Advance (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A18538-2004Nov28.html)

Not quite as good as soccernet's "********S OFF TO BENFICA" when Brazilian Argel whose-last-name-is-spelled "eff you see kay ess" transferred to the Portuguese club. But pretty good. Or bad, depending on your view on puns.

I know that this thread is supposed to be for current headlines, but I couldn't resist. After Inverness Caledonian Thistle (Caley to its friends) beat Celtic in a Scottish Cup tie, the headline read:
Super Caley Go Ballistic, Celtic Are Atrocious.
I hope the guy who wrote that retired. He'll never top it.

That's great. They don't have to current at all, but my mind can't recall those of the past.

I figured that one was a joke. College paper explains it.
