Saw a reworked version of the commercial from the World Cup, where the whole apartment complex is watching that one big-screen TV. It ran during normal programming too, I can' t remember what channel. Fox maybe??
Cool to see it running regularly though. My question is, what team is on the TV in the commercial?? Their kit sponsor is Phillips, and I know I have seen the kits before, but I can't pick it out. Anyone?? Anyone?? Anyone raised or lowered?? Anyone raised or lowered?? Bueller??

Wait a minute.... I distinctly remember seeing this "reworked" version of the Phillips commercial during the past two weeks. They have changed the team on the TV from the USA and John O'Brien to something else - it is NOT O'Brien anymore, and it is a club team (fictional or real - don't know) with Phillips as the uniform sponsor.
That's all I know.

I think it's PSV's red and white.

It was PSV, which makes sense as Phillips are based in Eindhoven, own the club, and the stadium is "The Phillips Stadion"

I actually think the re-worked version is the one with the US team in it

Unfortunately it is not the US team, it is PSV because I saw the ad last night on my local Fox station I believe...however, it is nice to still see the ad running...even with the makeover....

I was thinking PSV...but I think their shirt sponsor is different now.
And by the way, thanks to all the Captain Obviouses out there who didn't think I could recognize the USMNT in a commercial. :(

The original commercial featured a club team playing, but showed a closeup of JOB scoring in US colors. The version running now is the same footage except the close up (I don't know/remember who it is now).
It's a good commercial, one of my favorites.

First off, it's "Philips" with one "L."
Secondly, I seriously doubt that the sponsor for PSV will change, since PSV stands for "Philips Sporting Union," Philips was founded in Eindhoven, and much of Philips is still based there (although headquarters recently moved to Amsterdam).

Sorry about the misp., I thought it might only have 1 L, but my instincts betrayed me. Yeah, I was thinking of (no offense to PSV) of Feyenoord's shirts, they have a very long , wordy shirt sponsor.
I should be ashamed of not knowing how Philips is spelled since I live in Atlanta, home of the Philips Arena.

Hey, it could happen. Bayer Leverkusen no longer has Bayer as a shirt sponsor.

Nope - I had a more Southern presence.

Hmmmm - Morgantown?
(This guessing game could go on for a while, considering how many locations Bayer has!)
